Wraithguard not given to player

I havent received wraithguard from Vivec, even after going through all the dialogue topics as well as picking up and reading all the parchments on the stand. Can I have the ID so that I can fix this using console?

If you do not get Wraithguard then you have not gone through all the dialog. Wraithguard only comes after swearing the oath to Vivec.

Like I said in my original post, I have gone through all dialogue options. There is no option where I can swear an oath.

When I choose business, he goes through the "you have questions" etc speech. He never asks mme to swear an oath. He only asks me to read the accounts of the battle of red mountain, and come to my own conclusion.

It seems like everyone always insists on providing as little information as possible. I need details. What is the "you have questions" speech? There are only 3 topics that contain this text; none of them are "Business," and none of them have anything to do with Vivec. I'm not sitting there with you; I don't know what you have done or have Not done. I need very detailed information to try to piece things together from the CS. When you select the topic "Business" Vivec should begin with "When I was young like you, I was very impatient. So I will keep our business short." This topic has three choices, one of them being to swear the oath. ALL of the dialog under "Business" for Vivec include the option to swear the oath except "Actually, I believe we've finished our business"... after you have been given Wrathguard. So, if this isn't what happens, the only thing I can guess is that you have some mod installed that is conflicting... unless you can give me enough information to piece together what is happening and why.

When I select the business topic vivec replies with "I believe our business is over. I recognise you are the champion, and will tell the guards to make peace with the dissident priests. " At the end he says" before you leave you should learn how to defeat dagoth ur, and how you must use the artifact wraithguard"

The option to swear an oath or even talk about wraithguard doesnt come up at all.

Other topics are :

Counsel

Dagoth ur

Dagoth Urs defences

Dagoth urs plans

Dwemers sin

dagoth urs servants

divine powers

people of morrowind

prepare for war

red mountain

remember being mortal

to be a god

Where is dagoth ur

All these topics only get a one sentence reply from vivec. I have the dialogue ESP that came with the pack, and I dont have any other mods which alter dialogue in any way.

Thanks

That speech is only capable of being said AFTER you have gotten Wraithguard and sworn the oath. I have just tested something for v052 by starting a new game and talking to Vivec. I received Wraithguard after swearing the oath. You must have something conflicting, or you have used the console to progress too far into the quest. In any case: Player.Additem 0wraithguard 1

The commmand isnt working. It says its not an item parameter

In console, the base id of keening and suner are ff04bd37 and ff04bd38 respetively. WOuld I be correct to assumer that wraithguards ID ends in 39 or 36?

If thats the case, which ESP controls the items that are in morroblivion, since if I know the load order I can use the code to equip wraithguard myself.

Thanks.

same issue with Wraithguard.
when Vivec asked me if I want to obtain Wraithguard, there were 3 answers:

1. something like "yep for sure"
2. "I'm not sure"
3. "not now"

I have chosen 2nd option - and got the quest completed and "He said I would not find Wraithguard useful, becuase without my oath, he wouldn't teach me its use. He dismissed me, but told me to come back if I changed my mind." in quest journal.

and no way to obtain Wraithguard somehow - even through killing Vivec
sorry for my english

This is not any different than Morrowind (except the part about killing Vivec). You have to say Yes, then you have to swear an Oath. If you have killed Vivec, then reload from a save game. The Dark Path was never updated/completed, and I have no intention of ever doing so. In Morroblivion, there is no way to complete the quest if you have killed Vivec, unless you use console commands.

**SPOILERS***

Sorry to rehash an old topic, but I experienced this yesterday, so it's still an issue if anyone wants to know. When Vivec asked me if I would accept his gift, I chose, "I'm not sure." -and he replied, "I'll take that as a No". We spoke a while, and at the end of the conversation, my quest dialog specifically said that "Vivec gave me Wraithguard", even though he positively hadn't.
Any attempts to speak of "business" led to the example mentioned above.  I was so angry and confused for like two hours.  No joke, I was so infuriated that I killed Vivec simply to see the story through.  I equipped two enchanted weapons - one paralyzer and one life-stealer.

I'd hit him with the paralyzer, he'd fall over, and then I would furiously swipe at him on the floor with the life stealer until it looked like his was going to get up, then I'd switch back and start over. I WAS ONLY LEVEL ELEVEN.  X-D

I looted the unique item,

.

Took me 76 hours. I loved almost every minute of it!

The quest definitely has a hiccup in it, though. Even if it never gets fixed, thank you all for your hard work!  I had an amazing experience!

I believe it's because of the

I believe it's because of the "defeat Dagoth Ur" topic which has the same conditions as in Morrowind, those being only that Vivec can say it but not specifying a quest stage. In Morrowind this was okay because you only got there through a hyperlink. However in Oblivion somehow it can get added beforehand and clicking on it will advance the quest to a stage that blocks out the important dialogues. This has happened to me as well but I never looked into it until now. This should fix it hopefully.

Just a heads up, playing v64

Just a heads up, playing v64 and this is still an issue. I did swear the oath and Vivic did attempt to give me Wraithguard but it's not in inventory. I even got the dialog where Vivic tells me I will be taken out of time for a moment to help with the effects of learning how to use Wraithguard, however Wraithguard is not found in inventory. I'll have to use Brainslasher's fix.

I find it Really sad they released this, even claimed it was complete with all quests working. I've had to consult the internet daily for answers to bugs they never bothered to fix. I won't be playing Skywind or Skyblivion, can't trust that they wont be as buggy as Morroblivion.

I can't tell if this is your rage-quit post or just a bug report.  If you aren't rage-quitting, then please give me some more information as to the steps you took for us to reproduce this bug and what version of Morroblivion-Fixes you are using.  Specifically, I need the last couple lines of dialog which you selected and which Vivec said to you so I can more easily track down the problem.  I've successfully received Wraithguard in the past, so I think there is just some quest condition or dialog path which has not been accounted for yet.  Thanks.

Also, since v064 was posted around November 2014, it would make sense that the fix which Brainslasher posted had not been incorporated into the main release yet.    Anyway, the 2017 Active Bugs List is updated, let me know if you can confirm that Brainslasher's fix solved your problem.
