Breton audition - Irish and French
I used to voice bretons for Skyrim mods...I was the former voice of Beatrice in Interesting NPCs, and since she was a breton, I'll share a sample of one of her lines. :)
Also, sorry about the puffs...it's an old recording, and I never took the time to EQ all of the puffs out. For these characters, I will use a pop filter, and anything that gets through will be EQ'ed out completely, by yours truly. :D
I went for a more foreign accent
Just tossing my submission in for a Breton. Doesn't have to be any specific one, I'm just happy to help.
My Breton impressions, the last one using my dwarvish accent
Here's my audition for a Breton.
Using a Shure SM-57 Mic with a M-Audio FastTrack Pro. Recorded in FL Studio with Noise Gate and EQ
Here is my Breton audition. I have potential access to a better recording space and microphone.
Here's another Breton Audition. The Champion of Clutter! Love these lines, these were a lot of fun to act out :)
Recorded in FL Studio with a Shure SM57 Mic
A quick line reading. Needs a bit more polish and a more responsive mic, I'd love to hear some feedback. I'm a bit sick at the moment so forgive the "low energy". Sorry if the Australian accent comes through too heavily
A set of 5 that I did, it may be a little too high pitch and too much inflection.
Made a snappy attempt at one of the lines :)
So I might have gone a little overboard... this was a lot of fun.
Being cast as any other breatons would be fine too!
I used Maurrie Aurmine for this. To be honest, I've never done anything like this before. So, I apologize a million times over now if I screwed up something. I tend to do that alot. I didn't play with the sound on much and I always thought she had an immature little voice and she mispronounced Nelos's name. I watched a youtube video a bit ago and I heard her voice and it wasn't as young as I thought. I also confused myself with how to pronounce Pelagiad. I was told I was wrong and when I looked it up I was kinda right but the whole discussion confused me. So I say it very odd. I can't say it at all anymore lol. I cant get past "pe-"

Here are a few Breton Accents. I'm a little unsure of how far of the mark I am with this race, but I'd like some feedback!
Attached is my general Breton audition. Please let me know if there are any issues with the file.
There are SO many different directions to go with Bretons. They're a mutt race with so many different little kingdoms and cultural influences they're basically Europe. They also have the distinction of being the only race in Morrowind with an even ratio of men to women, oddly enough. There are very limited Breton roles, but I want them to have as much diversity as we can chuck at them.
Anyway, bla bla backlog. Bla bla short response.
Sound quality issues.
For the Bretons, any accent from Western Europe works pretty much. American accents will be more for Bosmer, Redguards, and Imperials.
Sound needs to be cleaned, and louder. Also, American accent.
The recording is a bit soft. The way the lines are read it’s hard to tell the context (even though, admittedly you don’t have the full context of the lines). The lines need to sound like part of a natural conversation.
This rich authoritative voice shouldn’t be ‘wasted’ on a Breton. Definitely Imperial.
Very well acted. If you could pull off more of a Western European accent (French, Celtic, Belgian, Lower-class British) I’d be interested in hearing what you come up with.
Not a terrible voice, but the sound quality would have to be improved.
Voice is too soft and shy, and accent doesn’t sound Western European.
There’s some sound quality issues. It sounds like you’re recording in church, your voice is so low and quiet. You can’t get a range of emotion reading lines so low.
I like the variations. Sound quality seems fair, too. Well acted. I wonder if you could try a French accent? Many of the Bretons (if not most) have Frenchish looking names, and it would be nice if a few of them sounded a little bit French.
A low hum in the background. There’s so much variation possible in Bretons, that we’re trying to go for diversity in accents. If there are any Western European accents you’re particularly good with, try those. Pseudo-British we may be hitting a saturation point, at least for males.
It seems you didn’t upload the file you intended?
You just need to speak up. Really ‘get into’ your character.
I really like the ‘French’ voice. Good sound quality.
Not bad accents, and the sound quality is fair.
Two auditions with slightly different accents (though without being too recognisable as any particular city).

Here is my read for the female Bretons
Uh, I have a voice that could work for a breton and a microphone. If anyone needs any voices recorded, I'm here. Just send me a script.
(Male, by the way. Also my mic is high quality!)
Okay Smite. You wanted a more european Breton. I saw on your list Irish might be okay so I gave it a shot.
Below are a couple Breton auditions with accents that attempt a couple dialects from the British Isles and then eventually... I don't even know what. As ever, I'm happy to tweak anything that needs tweaking!
Thanks for listening!

Here is another Breton, using my normal accent (easiest to do). A tad enthusiastic, but I thought it might show a bit more character.
Here are some lines with a French(ish) accent. Let me know what you think!
It wouldn't let me upload my files, so here are the soundcloud links:
Here is my audition/re-audition for a Breton.
I welcome and criticism and or advice and hope I can contribute.
Socacius Ergalla. I can make a higher quality version if you'd like.
Here's my read for Barnard. Excuse my mispronunciation of names, as do not actually play video games all that much, but I am willing to learn about all of the background and lore necessary to portray this or any other character.
Breton submission; thanks!
Bumping with my old daric bielle voice audition, because no feedback. Am getting my mic ready and gonna take it with me on vacation, and do some other samples in maybe a week. Promise.
Barnard Erelie Audition
Thank you for listening & for your feedback!
This is my audition for Maurrie Aurmine. Again, I apologize for the poor quality, but I will get a nice mic in case you like it :)
Feedback is more than appreciated!
Hi! Here is an audition for myself. I suppose I was a bit confused with the "Cletic French" and leaned more towards just "French", but let me know if you want the accents toned down or changed completely.

Hi guys, here is my Breton take. I really like Ralph Cosham's Breton from Oblivion, and I think this can be heard from my audition. Hope you like it and I'm open to suggestions and such.
Second audition for Breton.
What did I do?: Improved quality, attempted to emphesize accent better.
Hi, my Breton here!
Randall and Keith pretend to be Breton for fame and fortune.
Thank you for the opportunity to play.
Hi! I am a big TES fan since Morrowind so as soon as I knew about Skywind I got a huge desire to contribute to it's creation. Here is my voice sample for breton character:
This is recorded in my home studio. I am a pro vocalist and narrator and I can do other voices) Please contact me!)
This is me trying out the Breton voice, I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for, maybe it might fit another character or race?
The first one is towards the Irish sound of things, and the other is closer to my own voice.
Breton audition! My accent (newly formed) seems to be a mixture of French, Belgian, and Romanian dialects. However, if it works, it works. Let me know!
Here's one of my Breton demos:
After being informed my voice is too "nice" for a Altmer or Imperial :p. Here's my try at the dialogue for a Breton, enjoy!
Hi Guys, been out of the game for a while but I'm back with some takes on the races. Here's my Breton, which consists of four takes in this order: Irish, Welsh, English, and a sort of Frenchy accent. Hope you like!
My own interpretation of Socucius Ergalla voice. Check it out.
My attempt at Bereditte Jastal. Couldn't decide if I wanted him to have a lisp, though it manages to sneak in on occasion. Thanks for the opportunity. :)
Male Breton Audition
Hope this is satisfactory!
