Oh hell yes, Liz
Playing with Audacity came up with this Ominous dungeon music, goes on for a while, what do you guys think
Thank you guys for the feedback :o)
The Daedric track was a bit low so I made it sound louder. Here it is:
I made a new track, and I think it turned out alright. I have one problem however. I can't decide whether to make it more ambient so it's a background ambience, or make it a bit more musical to make it into a music track. I think I'd like the latter option a bit more.
Anyway, here it is, Dwemer Foundry.
...and my Deadric video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pdseEa2Vic&feature=youtu.be
Dragomir sounds awesome! But I think it's probably more of a ambience sounds then anything. But the sounds really sound immersive. I think they would make the dwemer ruins that much better! Might want to take out the music part and add music on top of it though. Like your music as well liz.
can't give you a thumbs up on the forum for some reason so heres my thumbs up to both of ya.
Hello again all!
I've written something for the Tribunal Temple.
Feedback is welcome :)
Hmmmm, I had something completely different in mind for Tribunal temples, but it might be possible to merge it somehow. Remember Dunmer religion is much different from any other, probably the most alien part of their already alien culture. What I was envisioning was a concert on Tibetan singing bowls, completed with throat-chanting. I guess it's the only way Dunmer could sing, I even recorded a little mantra as a proof of concept. I'd most likely make it much more ambient in the final version, but I really want that element in the music for Tribunal temples.
As for the Dwemer Ambience, I lowered the volume of music a bit. I really don't want to get completely rid of it, but it was indeed too imposing. The latest version, also has some additional sounds.
Ah, I see what you are saying. That is a really cool idea, I've downloaded your proof of concept if you don't mind to see what I can do with it. I'll send you the WIP over soundcloud to see what you think. The resonance of the singing bowls really do have a supernatural effect.
Sure, if you ever need any more throat singing I'll be happy to oblige ;) I don't have that much time for composing lately, but any assets and demos I made are free to use by any Skywind composers. That's why I make those.
Hi everyone, I've thought about chiming in here for quite a while now, now I'm done procrastinating ;) So my first post, I hope I'm at least almost at the right place;
My name is Fredrik and I'm a composer, singer and music teacher from Gothenburg, Sweden. I didn't pay much attention to the Skywind project until Gopher uploaded the second video on it a while back. Since I want to get into the game industry I'm searching for interesting projects to take part in, and this is certainly one :D. Is there anything more to be done? Here's links to two songs. One quite recent, with a perhaps more classical sound to it, and one from some years ago with a somewhat Elder Scrolls like feel.
Glad to be here, cheers!
Just tried some "ambient" for dungeons or caves, it should'nt be too invasivehttps://soundcloud.com/gottylol/cave-1
this is something that i came up earlier for "exploring" but i don't know if it will fit https://soundcloud.com/gottylol/surface
Yet, another onehttps://soundcloud.com/gottylol/wait
i know that here are really generic, if you guys need something more specific ask away and i will help for sure ;)
Snafredson/Fredrik, Wayfarer sounds very similar the kind of composing we are looking for!
I'm sure the music maestros will be in touch with you shortly over private message to give you an aspect of the soundtrack to work on
Blown away by Frederik', Darkwalkers also awesome.
6 hour soundtrack anyone?
Thanks ravanna! i saw a soundcloud page with skywind music in it, but i can't manage to find it, anyone cares to share the link?
edit: and yes, more is better! i hope to reach your standards guys, there are really talented guys in here!
Thanks Ravanna and Yixist! Are we supposed to add tracks to some sort of playlist like Darkwalker is talking about? And Darkwalker, i liked your cave track :)
I am really exited for this mod and would absolutely love to be a part of it! I am going to listen to Morrowind's entire soundtrack, then I would like to try and write some exploration or ambient music! I currently make modern music but about 10 months ago I made this https://soundcloud.com/protocat/space-extended. I just wondered if it might be useful? I will of course write something original and I realize that the elder scrolls music is different (having clocked about 300 hours on skyrim) but I try and make a variety of sound and love going though different genres. Is there anything specific that you want me to work on, or shall I just go for it?
EDIT: I would also be happy to work on a longer 'atmospheres' track, like CD 4 in the skyrim album 'skyrim atmospheres'.
Yeah, I didn't think it was going to be appropriate, I just wanted to showcase some of my other work. I will get to work at some point on some themes and hope they can be useful. Do I have to reserve a place, or shall I just work on something and let someone else decide where it would be used?
Hi everybody! My name is Daniel and I'm from Brazil. I'm a composer, sound designer and music teacher. I am big fan of The Elder Scrolls games and recently I met the Skywind project and I really excited with it! Here's a song that I've made inspired by Jeremy Soule's work. It's a battle theme with a strong melody and fast ostinatos https://soundcloud.com/danieljungblut/battle-theme
If you like it, it would be a great honor be part of the team!
@Protocat A skype group is mainly used for organization, I think I can invite you if you give me your skype name.
Protocat112 Is my Skype name! I would love to join the group, thanks :)
my name is Simeon
I am an amateur composer and have been creating music consistently for about a year now and would very much enjoy collaborating with all of you if you'll have me.=)
I noticed while reading through several pages of this thread that specific areas are being assigned to certain composers and that (from what I gathered) the general direction is leaning towards more ethnic instruments such as Persian, Asian, etc rather than the more traditional orchestra sound, yes?
I got all excited listening to some of the pieces that you guys have made and started creating my own, however, before I get carried away and make something that may not be needed is there some place I can go to see what areas are assigned to whom and what IS needed? I have a boatload of ideas but I figure I better ask first.
Most importantly, do you even need another composer? =)
Thanks in advance!
Just thought I'd post my current works for Skywind so far: https://soundcloud.com/matthawken/sets/skywind
This mod is really starting to come together!
I've updated the tracks with some awesome fanart taken from the DeviantArt page, you guys should totally check that place out if you haven't yet, we have some great conceptual artists over there: http://tesrenewalskywind.deviantart.com/
I was back here in I think February to work on stuff but was hindered a lot by school. Well now that I have graduated from HS I can really help with this project if you guys need me to. A little about myself: I love games and films as well as their music, I have composed for VG before and have around 15 tracks of my own done and on my soundcloud. I will be attending Berklee College of Music in Boston this fall to study Film Scoring and Videogame Music as well as Electronic Production and Design. I work great with others and love to collaborate to ensure the right music is there. I am not sure what needs getting done etc... so any help would be appreciated in telling me how to get started. I do have skype if that helps with anything. Hopefully you guys still need help, so just throwing my name in the giant pool of people :D

Hey everyone! I'd like to mix/master/fx some of the voice acting, music, or creature sounds as well as any sfx. I have tons of great software and plugins specific to voice acting like the waves packages and I use cubase and fruity loops for music creation. this was the last thing I worked on. https://soundcloud.com/zakkgarcia/ethnic-mix
https://soundcloud.com/zakkgarcia/battle-hymn sorry for the double post, here's another
nice job mastering, those pieces really fill up my monitors :D
I should have added this with the first post. Oops.
This is the link to my Soundcloud with a piece I created with desert-ish exploration in mind.
Let me know if it's any good!
I like it!
Hey guys im an amateur composer (if i can call myself that),making music as a hobby, got addicted to soundtrack music (Oblivion TES )and since that time i was trying to create something of my own although that was pretty hard without any musical education. Here r 2 tracks that somehow might relate to the Skywind game but im not sure if this is the right thread to drop ones tracks for them to be in the game
Hi my name is Daniel Cornelison AKA Klastic. I have been producing for a while now and would like to contribute in some way to this project. You can find some of my work on SoundCloud, however it is all very synthy and is in no way related to the type of music that is needed for this project. I took a look at the .xml and noticed the Disturbing Dream was open and I took a swing at it for a demo. I used this video to get a feel for what I wanted to go for and felt that the piece needed a very eerie feeling while trying to stay with the Morrowind style. If you feel anything needs to be changed or worked on please let me know.
Hi, I don't know if you're still looking for composers but I figured I'd give this a try. I stumbled upon this project recently and I love what you guys are doing, and I wanted to see if I could help out in some small way. I've been writing music for a while now, I guess I should let it speak for itself. Here's a few things I've written.
I've got a lot more stuff if needed, but hopefully this'll give you an idea of the kind of music I'm best at making. I'm also experienced in making arrangements/orchestrations of songs if that's something that needs to be done. Hopefully you'll consider me as I'd love nothing more than being able to help this amazing project.
If you are looking for people to play the piece with an instrument I am a good clarinet I play in my cities band and I also am in the symphonic band at the college I attend 1st chair.
Hi, here's my new theme. I thought it could work for Erabenimsun camp... https://soundcloud.com/liz-katrin/erabenimsun-skywind
You can also see/hear it on my youtube.
Hello to everyone on the TES Restoration team! I would like to sign up for the "Tavern Music" part of this project. Recently, I wrote and recorded a song for Skywind, and I posted it on soundcloud. Also on soundcloud are two other songs that I wrote and/or recorded. Here are the links:
My Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/matt-macob
Skywind Tavern Song: https://soundcloud.com/matt-macob/striders-on-the-ash-skywin...
Quick Edit: Do not use the version of "Striders on the Ash" that is out right now. The song will be the same but I'm going to re-record and re-mix the song to give it a better sound quality.
hi everyone, i just made this track and i'm still working on it. I want to help making this project come true, but i can't model, draw or anything. So here it is, please give me your feedback
I have finished the day track for Sheogorad.
Let me know what you think!https://soundcloud.com/tim-grabowski/northern-archipelago-skywind
beautiful, i listen to this when i sit here bored making sheogorad assets ;)
In Taj's absence I have been appointed to take over the Music Operation (with Dragomir, of course). My primary purpose is to ensure that the new composers who come to the project are pointed in the right direction with their music. Feel free to send me a PM if you have questions, and I look forward to gearing up the music once again.
Hey guys! First I must say I'm really impressed about this project and I would like to contribute.
I'm a musician graduated in Music Production and a future graduate in Music and Filmscoring, and I compose mostly orchestral pieces. You can listen to my work here: http://www.nckmusic.com or here: http://www.soundcloud.com/nckmusic
I know my original work isn't like Jeremy Soule's, but I'm very familiar with the game's soundtrack and I am totally able to compose in that style.
I was wondering if I could do any battle themes, but I would already be grateful If I could do any of the tracks.
Theme I've created for Mehrunes Dagon shrine...https://soundcloud.com/liz-katrin/mehrunes-dagon-shrine-skywind
well that was creepy... o.O
Hey guys! I did a preview for the Ascadian Isles Exploration.
I would like some feedback from the community before I continue.
Hey! Wow, sorry about no one ever getting to you. Things got crazy here with the flood of voice acting stuff. And music has slowed down quite a bit, however, I'd hope to see this thread get going again. As for your song, it's incredible! It definitely will need some tweaking, but I'm no expert on the sound/music design aspect. I'd say finish this piece up, I'd love to hear it in-game. Also, as a source of inspiration, we have another ascadian isle track that you might want to take parts from to have a common theme/feel, it can be found here https://soundcloud.com/devin-polaski/arcadian-isles-skywind-...
Wow!! All of this music sounds amazing. :)
I'm also a composer...not a super amazing one, but I love composing and performing...so I have plenty of tracks that ya'll are totally free to use, if you wanted to. I've been composing for over a decade, and most of my stuff right now is on Newgrounds, because I've been there forever, and was always too lazy to get a soundcloud. xD
Here is a list of some of my music: http://jessismith.newgrounds.com/audio
A couple of examples of my work are my song, "Oasis" which is kind of desert-y sounding....kind of befitting of this type of game.
"Tokalan Nightfall" is another one that seems to work well in an RPG setting at night time.
As far as Elder Scrolls stuff, I've done covers of Skyrim bard pieces and whatnot for the mod, "Interesting NPCs" and I made another random Skyrim related song that was turned into an amazing video by a friend of mine:
Anyway, I have tons of other songs on my Newgrounds, and many are an RPG type, and most are classical. Really, if you like any of them, feel free to use them...any of them! :)
It's actually somewhat intimidating seeing all these incredibly talented musicians contributing to the project.
I'm an aspiring, amateur musician/composer, myself. My name is Ducky. I don't have much in the way of orchestral experience under my belt of composition. Though for reference, I did do a remix of Nerevar Rising a couple months ago: https://soundcloud.com/sloof/nerevar-risen
I'm used to making music in electronic and ambient genres, but I pride myself as versatile composer, so any "obscure" piece you may need to be done is right up my alley.
What do i mean by "obscure," you ask? Here are some examples of what I mean (using some of my music):
However, if there's something I'm best at, it's solo piano pieces:
You'll probably notice that most of all those are Homestuck fan music, but bare with me. It's because I took on a big project mostly to better my own music skills, but a Homestuck project no less. So, that's just what most of my recent work is--Homestuck related. But that's irrelevant.
Feel free to use my Nerever Rising remix if you so desire, and if there's any composition you'd like me to work on, I'd be glad to help.
On a side note, I tend to work fairly quickly (2 - 4 days for ~3 minute song, usually). So, if there's a song you need composed in a pinch, I'm your man.
