Skyblivion (and Skywind) armor release on the Nexus

For us who can't or aren't planning on downloading either the full Skywind or Skyblivion package but still likes the armors you're creating for those mods would you consider putting just the armors on the Skyrim Nexus? The armor sets in Skyrim was kind of dissapointing compared to the ones in Oblivion and Morrowind. So far your armor sets from Skywind looks better than any armor mods I've seen on the Nexus IMO (obviously). And if not on the Nexus, maybe on the Steam Workshop? It would be kinda ridiculous if it wasn't allowed because of lore-unfriendliness when there are things like Assassin's creed armor-mods there.

We want to firmly wrap the

We want to firmly wrap the armours into the release of Skywind, and permission will not be given to reupload to any other site.

If any of our models are seen distributed elsewhere we will contact the sites administrators for locking and banning.

If not on another site, how

If not on another site, how about a downloadable file from this website containing only the armor and weapon sets?

Calm down with the down votes

Calm down with the down votes Galentv just asked a question. I wouldn't be against a separate armor download as long as the modellers and modders involved with the set gave permission. But tbh i highly doubt we'll be able to keep the mod resources out of other sites. There are plenty of sites that will host such mods whether or not we give permission.

I personally am all for

I personally am all for breaking the final product up into 4 separate files weapons, armors, creatures, and everything else. Where everything else's file is dependent on the other 3. Such that other modders can use our resources freely for their own mods and they wouldn't have to redist our assets as they can just link over to our project and tell the people which file to download and install, but that's just me personally.

If we're worried about people mirroring our stuff I don't really see that as an issue. The only real "active" modding sites are the nexus and the steam workshop. You wouldn't even be able to get our stuff on the steam workshop, because lol master files and data size, and if the stuff is on the nexus it doesn't take much to have a mod pulled. I would like to belive that people will be more inclined to work with and less inclined to mirror our files if we did something like the set up I mentioned. Especially given we're currently the only real group adding truly unique creatures to the world.

But I'm just an animator, and don't have any real pull in the direction, I want to see the project completed before anything else. I'm willing to push for openness, but it's up to the people who are really investing time into the project to decide/

Hmm, do we really want to

Hmm, do we really want to hand out resources though? Many other modders (won't name them though), and especially other projects are pretty possessive about their assets and for a good reason. What we make we make for Skywind, and if we split it up too much it will have a bad impact on the popularity of the whole project.

I seem to be out of it while

I seem to be out of it while I write this so please forgive any grammatical errors you see.

I don't see how that will have a negative impact on the final project, which is probably when this would be uploaded. If anything by saying, "here use our stuff but in order to reference it you need a specific package off of our page," and the page it self has the "complete project" as a main download then the creatures, armor, and weapons as separate optional files. Or alternitavly if the complete project is set up where the afore mentioned parts are set up independent of the landscape, npc's and questline (all one file), the people coming to visit and acquire their requirement for the mod they wanted to run might instead decide to download the full game instead.

A method like that would get the hypnotically nexus page get more traffic and possibly the full game. Another thing that could be down is a banner or several links are placed on the description page that link back here then tesrenewal could possibly get more traffic for future projects.

One primary reason I'm for this is that in the past this wasn't even an option considering most of the project was converted. As this project is built from the ground up completely from scratch what's stopping us from helping out other devs try and build the world around them.
