Welcome, Wilowood.  Player

Welcome, Wilowood.  Player level-up bar only increases when one of your MAJOR skills is leveled up.  MINOR skill level-ups do not change the Player level-up bar.  Look at your MAJOR skills, and then work on leveling them up.  Each MAJOR skill level-up gives you a 1/10 increase in the Player level-up bar.  Hope this helps.

Hi

Hi

Thanks for quick response,

ive completed about 20 quests for different factions and im still only on level 1 and my bar is about halve full but does not seem to be moving any more , is this right.

im sure i leveled up quicker in the original game.

is the leveling up system slightly different in morrowblivion.

ive just uninstalled the game as i thought i may have installed it incorrectly

im so desperate to play this game , everything was great so far apart from the leveling.

New to Elder Scrolls and

New to Elder Scrolls and became a member of TESRenewal? Jumping in with both feet, eh?

All training sessions count towards the same training session cap, which is 5 per level. Follow ponyride0's advice.

So there are two things to keep in mind about Morroblivion (and Elder Scrolls games in general):

#1 - Leveling up a character is achieved only by skill advancement.  There is no "experience point" system, you do not make progress to a new character level through completing quests or even by directly killing creatures.  Progress to a new player level is only achieved by levelling up a Major skill (in Oblivion, levelling up a minor skill does not help).

#2 - Oblivion has an additional design element where you can only pay for skill training a maximum of 5 times per level.  So if you train 5 Minor skills, they will not add to your progress in character level-up.

Note: the two issues above can be removed by using mods: for #1, there is the Oblivion-XP mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/15619).  For #2, there are multiple ways to remove the training limit per level.  Wrye Bash's Bashed Patch has a setting to increase the number of maximum training.  You can also search the Oblivion Nexusmods for "Unlimited Training".

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your help.

really appreciate your help, what i don't want to do is get hours into the game to find something is wrong.

on paying for skill training, ive never paid , yet they are already in red saying 5/5 see attachment, if this is normal i will carry on.

Sorry, I'm not sure what you are trying to say about skill training.  To be clear: you can only use the skill training 5 times total per character level, example: if you train 5 different minor skills one time each, you will reach the maximum training per character level, and the training that you just did will not add any progress to the character level-up bar.

Regarding your load order: the ESP files on the bottom will over-ride files that are above, so you need to move the "DLC ... Unofficial Patch" files (which currently have orange check boxes) below the normal "DLC..." files.  Additionally, you should install the Morroblivion Unofficial Patch to fix many bugs in Morroblivion:

https://tesrenewal.com/forums/morroblivion-mod-releases/relw...

You should probably start a new game after installing the Morroblivion Unofficial Patch.  Hopefully, this will fix any problems with skill training not working correctly.

The installation uses a BAIN

The installation uses a BAIN mod that installs in a way similar to the Morroblivion Resource mod.  You can continue playing your current saved game, but some areas and quests will not fully benefit from the Morroblivion Unofficial Patch unless you start a new game.  If you run into difficulties using your old saved game, just let us know here.  Enjoy.
