I know there have been other guar mount mods but this one tries to streamline the necessary additions. Since Morroblivion already contains the necessary meshes and animation files to support rideable guars, I just added an additional 3 records to the Idle Animations in the CS to enable them. Then it's just a matter of changing the actor type from creature to horse...
Instead of making all guar rideable, I've created Riding Guars that can be purchased from a few Guar herders in Vvardenfell: Sjorvar Horse-Mouth, Drulene Falen and 3 herders from each of the Ashlander camps. In addition to Guar Mounts, I've added Pack Guars which work much like the Pack Rats in the Tribunal expansion. I've made the scripts to support multiple Pack Guars following you.
Copy the ESP into your Oblivion\Data directory and move the load order to somewhere before any map-replacer mods.
This mod will over-ride any guar mods, however, it should be compatible with any other creature mount mods. Also put this mod before any worldmap or map-replacer mods.
Here is the ESP which is still a WIP and needs more play-testing. I'll package this into a v1.0 release after I get some feedback and bug reports on the ESP. Thanks!
v0.2 - adjusted speeds, strengths for guar mounts. improved dialog and fixed AI issues.
Known issues: Guar mounts and pack guars will follow you into interiors. You can tell the Pack guars to wait but no curent way to get guar mounts to wait outside. Although it's kind of useful, I'll probably disable the Follow AI for guar mounts in the next update to avoid problems with guar trying to follow you inside.
