[REL] Morroblivion Voice Acted Mod v0.6

This is a fixed version of the Morroblivion Voice Acting mod v0.5.  I still have not heard a definite answer from the Skywind Voice Acting team about releasing this update.  I think I've given them sufficient notice (>1 month) and will assume that there are no objections from them.  If anyone from the project does object, please let me know.

The sound files have been packed into a BSA which will autoload with Morrowind_ob.esm/esp.  I've removed the Voice Overs V002.esp since it appears outdated and does not seem to add records that are tied to the audio files.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Morroblivion v064
- Voicefile Redirector Plugin v1.2
- Recommended: Morroblivion Unofficial Patch

ORIGINAL POST:

Is anyone interested in me posting a bug-fixed version of the Morroblivion Voice-Acted Dialog mod?  There are 100+ sound files in the current version which are improperly encoded resulting in the game ignoring those files.  I've re-encoded those files and also batch re-normalized the volume of all the files so they are all audible and a comfortable volume (for me).  I'm still trying to get permission from the Voice-Acting group (which is now working on Skywind) to post an update but no responses from them yet: https://tesrenewal.com/forums/voice-acting/posting-a-bug-fixed-version-of-the-morroblivion-voice-acting-mod

If you are interested in me releasing this updated version, please post a reply in the thread above so that we can all get a sense for public interest in this mod.  I would also like any suggestions as to where it should be hosted since it is a 290mb 7z file.

Yup I would like something

Yup I would like something like this. I downloaded the original to have a look and some recordings were terrible. I used mp3gain to batch renormalize all the sound files but there's still clipping and hissing.

I once considered redoing all the recordings with computer generated voices, but reconsidered after thinking what a pain it would be. There already are comp generated voice recordings but they sound quite unnatural. But I found one which sounds nice.

Try the Indian accent Raveena.

Or even the Russian ones sound good. Try feeding the russian TTS with english sentences. Why does everyone in Nirn speak english anyway?

I've uploaded the mod as a

I've uploaded the mod as a simple 7z Wrye Bash compatible archive.  All you need is the BSA which will autoload with Morroblivion v064.  Please note that NOT all NPCs have voice-acting and not all dialog lines were recorded for the NPCs that do have voice-acted dialog.  This was a volunteer effort which focused mainly on important quest NPCs.  With that said, Seyda Neen features voice acting for several NPCs including: Sellus Gravius, Fargoth, Arrille, Eldafire, Foryn Gilnith.

I will try to compile a list of characters / quests with voiced dialog and maybe the voice actors if I can track down that information from the old forum posts.

@roxon_55: Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of the computer generated voices as the file sharing site for it seems to be a dead link.  I would assume, however, that the computer generated sound files work just like the voice-acted ones -- which are actually loaded in real-time by the game engine.  You can actually alt-tab out of the game, create the necessary sound file, then alt-tab back into the game and have the NPC say the new lines of dialog.

I've figured out that there

I've figured out that there are some additional audio artifacts and dropped audio frames caused by my re-encoding.  So, while you can finally hear the voices in-game, the sound quality in some cases is worse than the original MP3/WAV files before the re-encoding.

For v0.6, I've been using WinFF in combination with the LAME mp3 codec to do batch re-encoding.  I'm trying to figure out if there's something inherently wrong or incompatible with this set up which is introducing the extra pops and cracks.  Ideas and suggestions appreciated.  Thanks.
