Yes, Smite, it's the Pilgrimage to Mount Kand quest. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Pilgrimage_to_Mount_Kand
Thanks a ton!
Due to my lack of time, I may record it only this weekend, but it's already in my to-do list!
Доброго дня! Я українська дівчина. Я не голос актора, але я співачка. Не знаю, чи зацікавлені ви в волонтерських зразок мене. Але може бути, я зможу бути корисним.
Hello everyone, I'm not doing any voice acting, just a poster, but I wanted to ask a question. Will Vivec's voice sound like the samples found in the data files?
More specifically this.
I remember a discussion on /r/teslore trying to rationalize why he sounded that way, here it is.
Nah, I'd rather him be understandable. He's got a lot of lines, after all.
I'd love to take a crack at vivec :)
Hey everybody. I'm very interested in Skywind release since I've been a huge Morrowind fan for a years, and maybe I could somehow help with voice acting. Just kinda curious, I'm Russian and what races/characters would sound good with russian accent? Nords, I guess?
Hoping to help in voice acting but can't find anything up to date on this page
the OP is up to date. post in the specific race audition threads as mentioned in the first paragraph
Sorry, it's a long time I'm not playing Morrowind, so please pardon me for the stupid question: do you have any use of a little Italian accent?
In case I would love to help you with this project.
Sorry, no italian accents exist currently in the Elder Scrolls universe.
Any special auditions for characters like Vivec and Dagoth Ur? Or the lines I sent in the Unique Audition Thread are enough for evaluation?
Hi, will there be a time limit on when we can audition? I'm interested in a few races (Dunmer, Altmer and maybe Breton; I'm British and can lend my hand to a few UK accents) and also have a friend that is interested but it would be great to know if there is a time limit on when we can send audition files.
Thanks from the small elf.
I'm struggling to open bobisme's tool to make the merged scripts more readable - I keep getting the message below. Is anyone else having this problem?
shiftsource.com took too long to respond.
Are any Voice Acting auditions still open? Because according to "[READ FIRST] How to apply to join Skywind team" topic the VA is not listed anymore (there is a note that some departments are currently full instead), but the on "Voice Acting Hub and Instructional Guide" it is said all races auditions are open. I just wanted to make sure as I would like to apply but wouldn't like to waste time on recording samples for audition which is closed already.
Thanks in advance for update
Hi Borys. Yes, all auditions are still open. Va is not listed on the main volunteer hub because the department follows a different workflow. Follow the instructions in the Voice Acting Hub and Instructional Guide and you'll be good.
See you around!
Yes, Borys, it was removed from the general form as some people weren't applying properly for VA, which requires a different system. If you read the volunteer page in chronological order you'll see a link to VA volunteering a sentence or two before to try to catch the VAs before they read about the general form.
First of all - thank you Cesare and Taerkalith for your answers.
I have another questions. Is there any "deadline" when it can be expected that somebody has be assigned for a role? Are you making a research for now and after some time you will pick one of the people who submitted or in case someone is considered as good enough, will be asked for participation right away?
To be honest, I am just curious if I should wait peacefully for any feedback or just didn't arouse any interest.
Smitehammer goes through the audition threads every week or two and will contact voice actors that we want to assign roles to. He doesn't often contact voice actors that don't make the cut, simply because the amount of extra work that is. In short, you should hear back relatively soon if your accent is good and your sound quality is at least OK.
Please contact me at email@example.com should anyone be interested in using my voice
Hey Cornbread, please use the dedicated race audition threads.
Hi everyone, I hope all are well! New here; sort of garnered up the courage to finally look into anything where any help might be needed! Is there any way to find out what roles/voices might still be needed/auditioned for (I know you've all been at this for some time so I wouldn't be sure where to start, exactly), and/or tips/tricks for auditions?
Auditions don't need to be too fancy (er, I'm sure in the tips/tricks they'd have where to start from the beginning/what starting equipment needed), do they? I might or might not be able to get access to a better recording area and equipment if I somehow match something you need.
I guess a starting point is what I am looking for, haha. Thank you all for your time!
Welcome Maple Moose!
For auditions, just post an auditions in the thread corresponding to the race you would like to voice. You will find tips on the opening post for each kind of voice in the voice acting division of the forum. Be sure to have good sound quality, for it is the first thing we listen to.
Have fun recording!
Here's my audition for the imperial role. If the audio needs improvement. I can do that.
Caboose, can you post in the appropriate imperial audition thread? It's linked in the voice acting hub. Your audition won't be seen in this thread.
I'm thinking of volunteering on the project but first want to ask how many and which roles are there still to be covered by voice actors. I have to make sure that there are still interesting and suiting roles left, because I want to improve my set up. (At the time I have only a HyperX Cloud II Headset to record the sound.)
where can i download voiced dialog for morroblivion? all i see is the V2 and fargoth isn't even voiced >_> can someone please help me
Sorry Loveking, we aren't the same team which developed Morroblivion. I can't tell you anything about that except that I haven't heard any voice work except for what we've done for Skywind.
Just out of curiosity is there still a need for voice actors? And if so - and perhaps this question has been answered more times than anyone can count - what are some good mono microphones for recording? Thanks.
Yes route, there's still a need. Join our Discord and @voice acting and we'll get some people giving you suggestions within your price range :)
I'm in the same boat, I had a link direct me to this thread as the old one for Morroblivion audio files is dead.
Also, I didn't realize that there was still a need for voiceacting, where do I tryout?
Pick a race, and submit your audition using the provided lines.
Apologies if constantly asked, but I was nosing around and I wasn't really sure on where to go to receive feedback on submitted auditions that didn't make the cut. Where would that be?
Update - this has been moved to the appropriate forum - thank you :)
Hello! Just doublechecking before I record and post anything in the audition thread - we're supposed to record the sample lines of the race we want to audition for only, and then get assigned; right? Or can we record some lines from a character we're interested in voicing, as well? Thank you!
Hey, I sent a message a while back but havent heard anything back. Back in 2014 i was cast as for Baladas Demnevanni. I sent gigaflare the lines , but didn't hear anything for a while, and sort of forgot about it. Was reminded of your noble endeavor and wanted to check back in to see whats up.
The voice acting department has changed a lot since 2014, including its managers. You are welcome to reaudition to any race you're interested in.
Hey Guys, whats the point of doing all that work if there is no download links? this thread is outdated http://tesrenewal.com/forums/morroblivion/mods/1648
this is locked and the links are broken http://tesrenewal.com/forums/skywind/skywind-development/302...
no links in this one
Voice Acting wasn't really done for Morroblivion. We're focusing on doing it for Skywind and it will be part of the main build when we release it to the public.
Here's my altmer voice auditions. Hope it'll suffice.
