SAMPLE LINES
I have long believed it was a mistake to turn from the old gods. Perhaps Azura is with you after all. And perhaps not. I will tell you that I've spoken with Dagoth Ur. He promised me the same thing. That he will drive the foreigners from our lands. But I am not one to ignore opportunity, nor am I one to be troubled by rubbing two sides of a coin. If you are one of your word, I am your ally. I will tell Velanda Omani and Nevena Ules to support you as Hortator of House Hlaalu. VOICE INFORMATION
In general, Dunmer should sound wise, even in their youth. They live in a harsh land, and their lifespans are very long - they are a pragmatic people and venerate the wisdom of their elders from even from a young age. They should speak in a precise manner, taking the time to think through exactly what they mean to say as they say it.
For female Dunmer, the most important thing to consider is the culture they're coming from. Female members of House Hlaalu are the most heavily influenced by Imperial (and therefore Aldmeri) influence. They could very well speak with a lilt of the Imperial nobles, to a degree, though their voices won't be as commanding or crisp as either the Imperials or the Altmer. The old voice for the Altmer would have made a great Hlaalu Dunmer.
Female Redoran Dunmer do not need the British lilt. The Redoran should sound proud, and stalwart. A mature-voiced and not necessarily as crisp version of the more American imperials could work - think 'superhero'.
Telvanni Dunmer females would seem suspicious and cold.
Ashlander females need to crank up the elderly wisdom vibe to 11. Depending on how good they are with Cyrodilic (English) their accent may even sound Dothraki or Mongolian.
For males, the rasp is the most important thing. If you can throat sing, and apply this rasp on top of throat singing, that is the ideal Dunmer voice. That's how Jeff Baker does the voice. After you nail the sound you can think on the cultural influences.

Here are some Dunmer examples I recorded.

Reposting my auditions for Arnsa Thendas and Arns Saren here.
OK let's roll this ball: I've been practising my Dunmer/Death metal voice and getting all kinds of hilarious comments from the people I live with. Let's see if it was worth it!

The second file has the same text recorded twice - they're not very different. Any comments on the voice are welcome, of course! Hopefully you can look past the uninspiring acting - I'm just trying to get the voice right at this stage.
Orvas Dren
I couldn't access the excel file with all voice parts, so I did Jiub and the Ordinators. I know Jiub was done and I'm assuming the Ordinators are too, but I did this as a test for my male Dunmer voice. The Ordinators have always been my favorite voice to emulate, so I recorded a few pieces of dialogue from them as well.
These were done fairly quickly. I have a home studio so I am able to record at any time and in very high quality. Let me know what you think. I'm in the process of recording for other races as well.
If you happen to like my Dunmer voice and would like me to do other characters, just let me know. I'm willing to help in any way I can.

Hello There, Here is my Audition for the dark elf Faves Andes.

(Sorry about the pauses, i'm afraid i don't quite know how to rectify those yet.)
Alright, finally posting this here. :)Sinnammu MirpalOkay, I have a better mic and I have redone a dunmer-y lady voice.

i bet there are plenty of younger characters that your voice would fit to perfectly...
You're right. I was thinking of Mehra Milo but I'm not sure what age she is?
Anyhow, I'll see what Smitehammer assigns me to; if he does :)
Hello, I thought I'd try my throat at this, please, I would like feedback from anyone regarding my audition.
The first is a jumble of random miscellaneous lines from Dunmer, it starts off rather poorly and gets a little better.
The second is Jiub's lines simply for auditioning purposes not as Jiub because its already taken. (I believe I did a better job on this one so if you will only listen to one it should be this file)
So there you go, I hope I did alright.
Hello again, I have redone some miscellaneous lines and believe the to be far superior to my previous entries, please listen to them fully.
Hello again again, instead of continually posting consecutively I'll simply edit this post when I record something that I can stomach.
The two new files are Little secret 1 and 2. In both I try a different voice for the Dunmer, they might be trash, they might be good who knows, please listen to both, feedback is appreciated.
Here are two I just did. Only took a few minutes. Quality will be better when I get my new mic.
It's not your standard Dunmer voice - I went for a mystical, posh, wise sounding being. It's an audition for Vivec - whom is a god, so therefore should have a godly voice. I've included a voice with effects and without effects.

We're not taking auditions for Vivec or Dagoth Ur for now, nornfor the Daedric Princes. Special cameo possibilities are being considered for these roles.
Here are the Dunmer I did recordings for, though I could use this voice for virtually any other Dunmer that needs a voice I suppose. Also, this makes my MP3's sound a bit worse than the actual file quality, those sound clearer.
Here's a part my brother and I worked on. Hope you like it. He wanted to be as dark as Elvishly possible, in the fashion of a vampire-Dunnmer living in a tomb surrounded by the dead.
Here's my Dunmer part which i trying. Hope you like it. I attempted to sound like Dunmer as i can. I record a voice of Alds Baro:

Was not sure how to Upload the audio itself. Cleaned up my quality a bit.
2 Dark Elves

Hi there, trying my voice at a dark elf "Mabarrabael", I used the Skyrim ones for inspiration.
Hi! Thought I'd throw in a couple of auditions. If you think my voice suits other characters instead/as well, I'd be happy to do more!
Hello
My Audition for Dark Elf was done with Aldam Berendus: https://soundcloud.com/aurael-faeth/aldam-berendus-02
This is unedited and recorded at my desktop. Any final given parts would be recorded in a soundproof studio.
rest of auditions are at https://soundcloud.com/aurael-faeth/
I voiced Olmary the blind Dunmer in The Last Altar: A Spell-making mod.
@RealoFoxtrot
You seem to be running out of breath constantly :P It takes away from the voice because it needs to sound like it is just part of their everyday voice. If you can pull of something like that but without losing your breath then i am sure you could be useful :)
@Anduniel
Smitehammer and I both agree this needs some work. Since it will take some proper coaching, find us in chat sometime when you are on and we will figure something out :)
This is my Audition for Llarar Bereloth the Telvanni sorcerer in Sulipund, I couldnt get the xls file to work so i read some lines I found from him on uesp
jiub. sorry for the buzz
Here is an audition for LLarar
Here's my Dark Elf impression.

Nice Dunmer! Only thing I'd ask is to soften the 'R' sounds.

Only thing added was noise cancelation
I gave it a try but do tell me if I would suit better for something else in the game!

Dunmer audition. Lines of my own invention.
I think the pronounciation of "Fyr" is more like the "Fir" in Firm, rather than "Fire".
:)
I want to go with Fyr like pyramid or the god Tyr. So sounds like fear.
God Tyr is not a good example, most people (European at least) read it with Norse pronounciation which is not like "fear" :P
Well I'm going with this. http://i.word.com/idictionary/tyr
Fear sounds intimidating, Foorwuh sounds like sissy-talk! :P
Random lines using my Dark elf voice, let me know if there are any improvements you guys would like done
My Mac's mic creates a slight echo, but here's my impression. Let me know if you want me to read a more complex sentence or dialogue in order for you to further gauge my impression.

Edit: I'm going to throw in lines that I've made up soon.
Edit2: Check out the hainab pants.mp3. Should be better than the generic lines above.
Edit 3: Here's a link of Ordinator lines to get a reference off of.

I know I sent many of you private messages, but I think I missed responding to a few of you, so I'll just respond to everyone.
Grhicks - The voice is almost there, but you seem to be straining a bit on some words. Your voice cracks at times, so try to work on that.
Darksun90210 - Speak a bit slower, and really showcase the rasp. It’s there, but your real voice bleeds through a lot and you sound like you should be in some action movie. Also, a lot of the S sounds are really sharp.
Shushine - Speak a lot slower, and with precision. Dunmer are a pragmatic people, and put thought into everything they say. No need to rush the delivery - especially if it leaves you short on breath.
REAPERAPO - The gritty raspy voice isn’t there, and you have an accent that might be too strong to mask.
Xarcand - Very nice voice - the only thing to change is to make sure you use non-rhotic Rs.
Landsleaving - This voice doesn’t have the Morrowind rasp. We need that at least.
Paladyn - We’re leaving the Australian Dunmer behind and sticking with a Morrowind style Dunmer.
Nedwin - Try to go deeper with your natural voice - it bleeds through too much, overshadowing the raspiness. Ideally, you could ‘throat sing’ to achieve the same sound of Jeff Baker, but barring that just go as deep as you can and focus on the rasp.
RealoFoxtrot - the voice is quite good. Just a bit breathy and some sound issues that could be cleaned up.
Anduniel - You’ve got a good voice. The sound quality needs to be spruced up a bit. Look at the first post for ideas on how to go about the different Dunmer female voices.
RuffinVangarr - there are some serious sound issues with the recording that should be addressed, but the voice itself sounds like it might be good. Hard to tell though.
Modul0 - there’s no rasp to this voice, and there’s a lot of noise. You also pronounce certain words a bit unnaturally (‘quiet’ as ‘quite’ for instance)
dxninc - an interesting way to do the rasp, like MorrowindShorts’. Might be suitable for some characters. Noise issues, too.
Nubtrain - I couldn’t hear the recording.
GabrielLW - need a heavier rasp, less of your own voice coming through. Also, make sure to use non-rhotic Rs. The rhotic R is very particular to North America.
DelusionalSyko - this doesn’t sound like a Dunmer. It sounds like Farkas from Skyrim, like an action hero from some action movie. Try to nail the ‘raspiness’.
RebornZombie - I like it, but it’s a bit monotonous. Speak slower, and change the rhythm up a bit to sound more natural.
Jeffno - If you can get more of a rasp on top of your voice, you might be good for some older Dunmer. Might need a deeper voice, though.
Ikkotak - way too airy for Dunmer. The rasp is there, the emotion is there - just cut back on the breathiness.
Health Restored - the voice sounds like it would be quite good, but with that echo it’s impossible to get a clear idea for the voice. Fix the echo and post another audition.
Here's my second take on the Male Dunmer, namely the Ordinators. I removed the echo and other effects that I overlooked. I'm eager to know your thoughts on my impression Smitehammer, this is exciting!
Still some sound issues with noise. Follow Langotriel's how-to video for noise removal, normalization, compression, etc. The voice dips into a whisper at times, but you could probably just sort through that with practice.
Here's my third take, this time with Audacity, but I think it might be my Macbook Pro's internal microphone that's creating this sound that's similar to crickets outside at night now.
It's faint, but it's still distracting. I've followed the tutorial, is there no other way around this other than to buy a proper mic? Or no way for you to filter that out?
Also.. the mp3's got split up, so there will be multiple in this post.
EDIT: WOAH, major error with the files. I will need to redo this, stand by.
EDIT 2: Alright, so advanced upload just doesn't work. I'll upload each one individually.
EDIT 3: I'm an idiot. I had my fan on, the one cooling my Mac. Check the "half" files, they're a lot cleaner.
Second try on Male dark elf. I worked on reducing the airy sound, both physically and digitally, whenever I spoke. I am currently working on applying slight British pronunciations to words such as "heard" while making sure I don't sound like I am exhaling.
This is my audition for for the Dumer. I used Vivec's lines; I did not see you are not taking auditions for him. Please consider my talents for any other Dumber role. Thank you
Here's a second try at it I believe the noise is cleaned up.
