I am in charge of organizing Skywind's composers, musicians and music with Dragomir. As of late we have gotten quite a few of you coming to help Skywind with your imagination and skill.
We will collect your contributions and give you insight into what needs to be done regarding Skywind’s soundtrack. This is surely one of the most ambitious music projects undertaken by any mod in history so we will attempt to make a full list of all that is needed, however it is likely that this will change as we advance in the project.
Before you take an assignment
Be sure to introduce yourself properly. This is as a courtesy to your fellow artists on this project as well as to show us some of your work – preferably we would like something inspired from TES or Morrowind. This will also serve as an opportunity for you to tell us if you have any particular ideas for the direction of the soundtrack for certain locations or events in the game.
We will try to find you work that suits your skillset and style. You have to be prepared for some disappointments however – even really good music ideas will be rejected if they don’t fit Morrowind’s style and atmosphere. We don’t want to limit anyone’s imagination since it is the core of creativity, but a designer needs to be flexible – and we need consistency in our game’s style so it feels like a whole, and not like a bunch of different bits and pieces thrown together chaotically.
When you are writing a piece
Keep in touch with Dragomir or myself through the creative process. It’s a team effort, and every idea needs to be constantly reviewed and discussed with other members of the team. We can provide you with inspiration and references. Both of us have careful consideration for the different aspects of Morrowind’s overall feel and we want you to understand our vision before starting a project. We will gladly discuss and share what we’re working on too – as every artist needs some feeback, and the more – the better.
Music has always been a very important factor in the Elder Scrolls series, and separated into two sections; exploration and combat. We strongly encourage that you give Morrowind’s original soundtrack a listen to understand our starting point with the music. We want to give Skywind very tribal and eastern undertones to represent the alien life on Vvardenfell as well as the ashlander roots of the Dunmer. Keep this in mind while thinking of musical elements to incorporate.
I urge you to create a Soundcloud account immediately so that we may download or listen to your submissions. I am in Soundcloud as Tajnarasha. If you do not want to make your material downloadably publicly, set it so that I may in order to load all files into a centralized folder to implement in-game.

Well there you are folks! Can’t wait to hear what you have to offer! ;)
AUGUST 8 EDIT: This has been a fantastic 10 months working with all of you to produce Skywind's ever-growing soundtrack. We've finally reached a point where we can say without a doubt that we've created most of the material, and that we're getting into fine-tuning to ensure the music is up to the standard that everyone hopes it can be. Sadly, this also means that there is no longer a need for creative submissions as there was in the past.
We're very happy with the constant stream of interest we've received, and we're also happy to say that we're completely satiated with the amount of symphonic composers we have. We are a very, very full team working on the soundtrack, and the more people work on this project the less likely it will be to have the level of artistic cohesion that we seek. Simply put; we cannot accept any new composers.
What we still need however, are people who can design their own sounds, or own rare and exotic instruments. Preferably, we're looking for Siberian, Mongolian, Tibetan and Turkish. If anyone wishes to join our project, we can only accept those who really (and we mean, REALLY) replicate Jeremy Soule's style.
That's all folks, and as always, thank you for your endless support.
