Lacking Attributes

how will the game be balanced now that attributes are gone?

think of those 2 spells:

Exalted Pain, which hits you with 1 point of damage/second to Agility, Endurance, Strength and Willpower, and 10 points damage/second to your Health and Magicka for 5 seconds

I personally have no clue on how they could be re-created, especially with the new spell mechanics.

EDIT: not to mention the most awesome effects of magic like: Silence, Sound, Resist Normal Weapons, Reflect Damage, Reflect Spell. I fear scripting language is different, right?

Damage Health would be mapped

Damage Health would be mapped to attribute Health (obviously)
Damage magicka is obvious too.

Strength - Speed - Endurance could be mapped to Stamina
Damage Strength could also be mapped to combat skills (impact every combat skill) along with the stamina impact

Damage Agility could be mapped to stealth skills (impact every stealth skill) - except speechcraft
Damage Willpower could be mapped to magic skills (impact every magic skill) + speechcraft ?
Damage Luck could be mapped to all skill (impact every skill)

just my 2cts, without thinking too long about it.

edit : rephrased, fixed typo and link

If I recall Ironman learned

If I recall Ironman learned of a way of adding stats and plans to add stats kinda like this mod
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13968
That will probably conver a few of the damages.

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/21587/
This mod also looks neat.

Well, the plan is to use

Well, the plan is to use skyrim mechanics, attributes and skills, and therefore to adapt magic effects, scripts, etc will be based on Skyrim skills and attributes. That is what will be in the master.

Re-implementing the same skills as in morrowind can only be done as an add-on esp to Skywind.

skills are the minor ones

skills are the minor ones casing problems, as all of them can be simply re-created via perk effect to accomplish the same goal (with the exception of Medium armor, as it does not exist in-game I think).

those mods use AV, so using them will prevent installation of any other mod that uses the same AV. and they can't be applied to npcs.
