Skywind doesn't work with Morrwind GOTY if downloaded via GameStop App

As it turns out if you bought, and downloaded Morrowind GOTY via GameStop App (the only way to get digital PC downloads from them afaik) then Skywind fails to work. Is there any workaround, or fix for this?

Note: after talking with some users in chat, I'm guessing that the issue effects those who own Morrowind digitally (legally).

I own Morrowind GOTY via

I own Morrowind GOTY via Steam and never had a problem with Skywind. Not sure if it's the same in every region, though I feel like it should be, but GameStop here offers 20-50 dollar steam cards or prints a code on your receipt for the steam wallet if you ask them. GameStop + Digital... Egh, wouldn't trust it to begin with.

Btw, did you get your last name from FLCL or is it your actual last name? Just curious :P

Ya I'm not a huge fan of GS to begin with, but it was cheaper there at the time. I've tried activating the game code with Steam, but it refuses to accept it.

Either way I'm not sure why the installer isn't seeing Morrwind though.

Ya that's her from the anime. She's one of my favorite minor characters from that show.

EDIT: I found a workaround to the problem (a temporary one mind you). I took the assets folder, and placed them in my Skrim data folder. I made sure to keep the .bsa & .esm files towards the bottom of my load order. I booted up Skyrim, and everything worked properly.
