[Wip] Transparent Shack Screens

It kind of bothered me that the screen on the shack walls of Skywind/Morrowind had a plain black background, and since interior spaces in Skyrim can have the outdoor sky, I decided to replace the screen wire mesh texture with one that is transparent. Here are the results:

Before

After

After giving all of the shacks the same treatment, I will release this.

Looks nice, but will it

Looks nice, but will it require some scripted weather synchronization?

I have it set to use the sky

I have it set to use the sky from the Seyda Neen region, so the sky on the inside should match the outside, however, I think rain needs to be scripted in order to show up. There is an fx object for rain that I could place along the windows so that it can be seen from inside without falling through the ceiling, but I'm not sure how to script it so that it only spawns when it rains.

If you check out the skyrim

If you check out the skyrim mod "Immersive Interiors" http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/39208/? it has the following:

  •     Makes every window transparent and allows you to see the weather, lighting and city exterior from inside the building. This means you can be sitting in a tavern watching the sun set on the street outside.
  •     Uses carefully crafted imagespace and lighting templates to reflect the outdoor weather inside. So if there's a beautiful sunset in Whiterun when you enter Breezehome, your home will be flooded with luscious orange light. If it's dark and raining, then the inside will be dark and you'll see rain trickle down the windows.
  •     Improves Bethesda's "console lighting" by making sure every light source actually produces light where it should. Adds more special effects in interiors and uses shadow lights wherever possible to achieve a realistic look.

Should be able to leverage same code/techniques for this.

About landscape, when I would like to do this, there was a problem with landscape. In interiors we can have only meshes, And zilav help me: we can use OScape for create landscape meshes )

This is beautiful haha. I

This is beautiful haha. I love this so much. This makes me want to create a Dunmer fisherman who lives in like Hla Oad or Gnaar Mak in a cozy little shack. Be nice to have an updated Bitter Coast looking more like a Bayou, have drivable boats and be able to fish. Just roleplay or something ;]

Unfortunately, Immersive

Unfortunately, Immersive Interiors author SomeWelshGuy has stated the following on the Skyrim Nexus Credits and distribution permission tab: "You may not upload, convert, modify or distribute this mod in any way. It's my work, and I'm proud of it. Please respect that." So if we want Immersive Interiors style lighting and weather, we have to make it ourselves.

I'm confused, we couldn't

I'm confused, we couldn't possibly use that mod in anyway, other than to look at the techniques used.
