@GoldenPhoenix said that they working on second island and official video is rendering now. Cool.
Well that's just too awesome. The landscape is spectacular and everything looks really in-place. I think one of the problems with Skywind is that lots of things just don't suit, so hopefully we can all get that sorted.
andoran: prologue Andoran: Complete
Incredibly high quality! hopefully this project willing motivate modelers to take more interest in making environment assets. I'd like models that lay flat below the ground with raised parts that poke above the surface for the effect seen in the second and third screens of cobbled street. Something similar for caves and landscape would be good as well that is fairly low poly but could add raised surface over large area quickly.
I'd also like to have some mines of this quality~!:
Hopefully Andoran screens will motivate more people to become active in environment assets to make that happen.
There are the nordic ruin floor pieces that do that. In fact that may just be them retextured in the screen shots. They should definitely be being used in Daedric interiors and such
I see all those baked rock textures. I wonder how many different rocks they use, and the subsequent vram usage?
found two new pictures on their forum.
I wish I knew the language to translate it. :/
@Vargas -- It's in Russian. I have a feeling that we will be able to have an English version eventually... Granted, the Russian version needs to be finished first!
I think with the number of voice actors available for Skywind, some of the same voice actors could be used to assist with voicing Andoran characters.
Still, the translation would need to be completed first, and that's the hardest part.
Words are just small addition to the world.
This guys found nice way run from the lore and bring more freedom to creativity.
I wonder why they not releasing the first island, since they start working on second and third. :(
Who can translate video, please?
Hopefully an English translation can be made once this project is finished because it looks amazing! Hell, I'd settle for text only: keep up the good work!
Interesting how is it: to hear russian vocalisation for english-native ear;
Actually i would like to have vocalisation on some artificial game-world language with subtitles.
It can be like new level of realism.
The first monk voice, sound weird, but dark elf at the end was great. And music too.
And it's just me or music has a vibe of Fallout 3/NV? :)
