Where do I go in Skyrim to enter Cyrodiil? I couldn't seem to find the page for that.
I think there is a pale pass mod but your best bet is to use the console command Cow And_tamriel 3 15 (take the "And_" out if that doesn't work) That should place you right in front of the imperial city.
how will i get back to skyrim. would coc whiterun take me back?
It should, but I would recommend using the console command from the title menu that way you won't have to worry about ruining your character.
There isn't any content there yet so just landscape. No quest, ncp's, creatures, adventure, dungeons (have yet to be link to the main world space). I have a mod that link all the door except the one in bravil (because I was gonna recreate the better cities bravil mod so I was holding out untill I can figure out how to convert it and get it to work in game) I don't think I'm gonna release it because I left my 4E mod on as active and I'm pretty sure no one want me to release that mod.
hey thanks i cant wait for skyblivion to work. i just have a few questions if you have the answer to them. 1. are the modders of the project going to implement quests? 2. is is skywind compatible while running skyblivion? Also, im pretty sure skywind is father in completion than skyblivion, is that true?
1. yes quests will be implemented in couple of years when skywind is done or mostly done (most likey).
2. I don't think so. It always freezes for me.
3. skywind is much farther along than skyblivion. The plan was to implement morrowind first and then Oblivion. The only forseeible problems are that it took 3 years to get morrowind in Oblivion and by the time morrowind is in skyrim tes IV might be out. or the people who didn't play morrowind and are waiting for skyblivion to get rolling... well I'm worried that when skywind is done the people that worked on it might be doing what the skyblivion team is doing now (nothing).
Slightly disagree with Supreme on how long it will take for skyblivion to be done. though the honest thing is that the skyblivion team technically IS the skywind team.
Oblivion voices, landmass and areas are basically very easy to finish, its the quest scripting and npc scripting that takes the longest. but the fact that the quest authors dont have to flesh out the areas theirselves means that it might go more smoothley.
Biggest thing that skyblivion fans like myself can do is either assist (not me tho too busy) or encourage the skywind team to do their best on skywind. patience is a virtue in these matters! I want to see skyblivion finished just as much as the next person, but rome was not built in a day, neither will cyrodill be rebuilt in a day either.
A couple years? Are you crazy? At our current rate, all of the quests in Morrowind will be done by the end of the year or sooner.
There is a misconception about how long it took to create Morroblivion. I first got it in June 2011. What 8 months after the project was first started? And it was perfectly playable. Everything since then has been extra.
Actually, if the people working on Skyblivion now came and helped out with Skywind, it could be even sooner. We don't have a Skywind or a Skyblivion team, I don't get where people have decided on that. We are in this together.
Oh, and yes Skyblivion and Skywind should be compatible.
@shadow: It always crashes when I run both of them together. Also the people who... well really never played morrowind and don't know anything about it are not really helping with Skywind(but who can blame them, You can't make a quest if you have no idea what the stages for it are) What I was saying is that a lot of people are here JUST to convert morrowind and Probable won't be as interested in converting skyblivion. Either way I think that a lot less people will work on skyblivion when that becomes more active.
Skywind done by 2014
Skyblivion done by 2015
That a couple years... so, yeah it'll be done in a couple year. The issue is skyrim only took like 3 years to make (half the time as morrowind and Oblivion) so it's safe to say bethesda will have their next game out by then. (we might end up putting morrowind into fallout 4 or something: let's call it windfall).
Um yeah, you don't have to have played the game before to help out you know. It's all copy paste, with a bit of CK knowledge thrown in there. Also, I'm fairly certain virtually everyone working on Skywind now wants almost as much to see Oblivion converted over too. No one JUST wants to see Morrowind converted over. If you don't believe me, ask them yourself. But I think I've made my point.
Also, Fallout conversions is what taleoftwowastelands.com is there for. :)
It'll be another 4-5 years before we see TESVI and we need to convert to it.
I'm not sure. I mean even if everyone wants to convert Oblivion too that still doesn't mean everyone will have as much interest. I mean most people you talk too like Morrowind more then Oblivion. meaning there more likey to constantly create Skywind whereas Skyblivion will be more like yeah I'll get it done some time. aslo seeing as it is the second project Most people will be to busy actually playing skywind then developing skyblivion. I think there's just not as much interest in converting Oblivion then morrowind. It's not just that we want to see it, it's how bad do we want to see it (I mean who would choose only morrowind over morrowind AND Oblivion).I think just about everyone here wants to see skywind a lot more then Skyblivion. you said it yourself shadow
everyone working on Skywind now wants ALMOST as much to see Oblivion converted over too
Morrowind and Oblivion differ in vanilla state: MW is plain awesome without any mods, Oblivion no so even with DLCs (except SI).
Skywind and Skyblivion are both vanilla games on new engine, so with Skywind finished you immediately have a "classic" RPG experience praised by thousands. However I know people who started their TES gaming with Oblivion won't agree.
p..s My first game was Daggerfall, and my favorite is not MW even. It is Battlespire.
I've made my point Supreme. You can choose not to believe it, or to downplay it if you wish.
Oblivion is seriously under rated. I would love to see both projects in the Skyrim engine.
@ Shadow: Okay morroblivion was done within 8 month of it's start, I believe you, skywind wouldn't take much longer either I believe you but what I don't believe is that all at once everyone is gonna say skywind is good enough let's do skyblivion now. people are still polishing Morroblivion, and to believe that skywind will stop being polished when it reaches a certain point and people will start working on skyblivion is what I don't believe. What I do believe is that skywind will have a lot more work being done on it even when all the quest are done and it's basically finished. I mean it will never be perfect and as long as it's not perfect people will try to make it better untill the next elder scrolls game comes out. It's not that I don't agree with what your saying it's just that, what your saying sound more like even if skyblvion is done before 2015 it still will never be as close to perfection as skywind
@zilav: You proved my point, vanilla Oblivion just doesn't have as much love as vanilla morrowind and because of that people will always be more interested in making skywind the best it can be rather then making skylivion
@EnvyDeveloper: I agree everytime people compare the elderscroll game people will always say either skyrim or oblvion were the worst. Everyone here wants to see both projects completed that's not the issue. The issue is most people want to see morrowind more and even when it's near completion it more likely that people will be continue working on it then actually moving on to skyblvion.
Where is the fine line where it's clear that skywind's devoper need to move on to skyblivion. If you make fine line, you may be cutting skywind short, if you don't, skyblvion may never get all the developers it needs.
