Miners actually mining

I've finished up the first version of AI packages for everyone in the 0Miner class. There are a couple of NPCs that already have specific packages, so I didn't touch them. I've also added pickaxe furniture (yes that is the category) for NPC animation of mining to all the people inhabited mines. Those that are abandoned I've ignored for now.

Egg mines. What is the point in carrying a pickaxe? Are the eggs really that stuck to the walls you need to chisel them off? I haven't added any pickaxe animations to these mines because I wanted better understanding of how the miners collect these. Should somebody create a new animation? Should we use part of the farming animation which is of the person bending over to pick something off the ground?

In Gnisis, there are two homes/caves which have a bed for one person but there are two people that live there. I created packages so that both of them go to work for 12 hours and come back to leave together. But only one will get to sleep each night. Hopefully, somebody can swap out the bed for something bigger.

I'll upload this once I figure out what to do with the egg mines. Right now everyone just stands around all day. Kind of like before I attempted this but now on a schedule of just hanging around.

In Gnisis, there appears to be what looks like a miner's barracks, perhaps beds for the npcs can be added there? it is the large structure with a canopy above it, on the cliff leading to the main eggmine

There's a quest where you

There's a quest where you have to talk to (or maybe kill) one of the npc that lives in the mine. Can't be more specific, I don't remember the details.

For the eggs, without being a lore fascists, It always look to me as something you pick up from the floor (unless we add some on the walls as well)..

It's possible the eggs are laid in clutches with some kind of sticky material between the eggs that you need to cut off or something.

If the canopy area has

If the canopy area has bedrolls, that could be used for the miners that don't have homes. Otherwise, I may send them over to the tavern where Darius is.

The Gnisis mines does have an IL quest to talk to the ghost of a dead miner and to kill the soldier that killed the miner. I don't remember any other miners being involved but there could be a local quest I never did, so I don't know about it.

I'll see about building a new idle marker which uses a combination of others. Then implement it to see how they react in the mines. I just didn't see a point in having them miners chipping away on the walls if everyone was of the same believe that eggs are harvested.

It could be that the picks
It could be that the picks are for expanding the mines for the quama population to grow. Therefore producing more eggs to sell. It could also be that the stuff beneath the eggs is anchering them to the floor. This stuff may be quite hard, requiring a pickaxe to chip away so the egg can be harvested.

Here it is.

Here it is.

For the egg mines, I created an idle marker which includes animations for bending down, picking up something (harvesting), and wiping brow. Like most idles, these are random and you may only watch them do 1 or 2 in total. I also added pickaxe markers so the miners can expand the tunnels. Those mines that have no miners I ignored in this package.

Gnisis - I tried some special AI. The miners leave at 6pm and hang out at the canopy for an evening meal before heading home. However, they can't seem to walk to the front door of the mine, so I am assuming it is another navmesh problem. I also gave them the eggmine key so that they will be able to lock and unlock the door each day (not positive that NPCs require this but Skyrim puts keys in most NPCs that need to enter locked doors). I did find that there are no keys in the CK for most of the homes in Gnisis. Something that will need to be addressed at some point down the road.
