@ rossimi I have been thinking of your request for a Skyrim Guide as I have started remodding my own PC Original Skyrim Legendary game. I honestly cannot do any better than what S.T.E.P. suggests. I have tried a variety of mods, but their recommendations are the best by far. You can build on the mods after you have a stable setup, but I highly recommend that you try their guide first. http://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:18.104.22.168#Incremental_Mod_Up... I hope you are still having fun with Morroblivion. I will eventually come back to it, but I have other projects in the works at the moment.
lot of fun?
a very large huge lot of fun, because of your guide!!!
i can say thanks enough for that!!
Another modding guide I am currently testing out for Skryrim is Skyrim Revisited: Legendary Edition @ http://wiki.step-project.com/User:Neovalen/Skyrim_Revisited_...
This guide has been fun to follow, but it also looks like it will be a fun playthrough.
thanks, it's really interesting!!
but i still hope that one day you can go with a ones of your guide...
i haven't finished the morroblivion game, so i still hope... your guide is funniest and better that the s.t.e.p. ones (mythic dawn)... so i continue to hope
I'll see what I can do after I have learned a bit more about modding Skyrim myself. I learn by following others guides, and then choose what best suits me. It may take me some time, but I will try to get a guide out for you by the time Skyblivion and Skywind are released.
However, we'll definitely want our first playthrough to be fresh out the box as our team releases them. This way we can help report any bugs or issues we experience. Afterwards it will be nice to see what our modders release here on the forums. So my guide for Skyrim may be a couple of years in the works, but I will definitely try to make it happen.
I have been learning quite a bit about optimizing textures using DDSopt. I have a User talk page on the S.T.E.P. Forums if anyone would like to follow my progress. I will probably be updating this guide in the next couple of months using some of these techniques as well making certain all of the links and recommendations are still applicable. These are especially useful for people with low-mid end PC's who would still love to play a modded game. User talk:Diana TES Goth
When Skyblivion and Skywind are released, I will work on a modding guide for them as well, but only after I have played them straight out of the box first.
What would everything think about me putting this guide on a Wiki site, instead of having to download it as a MS Word or PDF file?
That would be very awesome! You definitely have enough info to turn into a decent sized Wiki. I feel like the people who could benefit most from your Word/PDF file might be scared off by the fact that it's so long -- if it was in a Wiki, they could just browse through and read what they're interested in. You've got my vote if you decide to do it!
Awesome, if there are no objections from anyone, I will probably convert this guide to the Wiki. Most likely I will put it in a S.T.E.P. Wiki forum. This will also enable users to help me out during the process if they so choose. It will definitely take some time and effort to convert, but I agree it will be more beneficial to users who may be offset by the length of the Word/PDF files.
When I complete my current project, I'll get back on updating and converting this guide. I expect that to be in April, hopefully.
P.S. I am Diana TES GotH#0086 on Discord if anyone wishes to chat with me. I am a member of many discord channels, so you'll either have to mention me in a comment or send me a message for a quick response.
Update Notice March 17, 2017
From here on out this guide will be hosted on STEP Wiki at Morroblivion with FCOM (Oblivion). I have received permission from TechAngel85, an Administrator of S.T.E.P., to create this guide.
It is currently under construction. I will let everyone know when it has been updated.
