"New" button missing from main menu

I'm not sure if this is a Morroblivion issue but I recently noticed the button to start a new game is completely missing from the main menu. All the rest are there. A screenshot taken two months ago clearly shows it. Has anyone else had this issue?

Are you using the

Are you using the Morroblivion-Fixes mod?  If so, what version?

If you are using the latest version of Morroblivion-Fixes, the "New Game" button is replaced with *Morroblivion* when you have the morroblivion.ini (by default) set to start in Morrowind, and this button is replaced by *Oblivion* when the morroblivion.ini is set to start a normal Oblivion new game in Cyrodiil.

I am currently using an older version of morroblivion-fixes and the button is just not there anymore. All the rest are there. It is also not a case of an invisible button either. My game is set to start in Oblivion and there is no button marked oblivion either. I have the newer fixes file ready for the future, it may do something for the button but I'm still testing and really I don't want the button to say oblivion.

SOLVED:

SOLVED:

Here is what happened, I use my own menu files to specify everything in the game. This was in my main_menu.xml file:

<rect name="main_new">
<include src="button_floating.xml"/>
            <id> 3 </id>
            <visible> &false; </visible>
            <string> <copy src="strings()" trait="_new"/> </string>
            <x>
                <copy src="main_continue" trait="width"/>
                <add> 25 </add>
                <onlyif src="main_continue" trait="visible"/>
                <add src="main_continue" trait="x"/>
            </x>
            <y> 0 </y>
            <xdefault> &false; </xdefault>
            <xleft>  <ref src="main_continue" trait="mouseover"/> </xleft>
            <xright> <ref src="main_load" trait="mouseover"/> </xright>
        </rect>

Something set my new button so "visible" was false, changing it back to true fixed the issue. I thank everyone here for their help. I just have such an incredibly complex game that only I know all the weird things I have done to it. I even redid the maploop with the Morroblivion one but chose new music. The screenshots look fantastic and I use oblivion reloaded, enb, efx and reshade to give it that realistic look. I also wish to thank the Morroblivion team for having such dedication for an excellent mod.

Sorry, that was the fault of

Sorry, that was the fault of a very old version of Morroblivion-Fixes.  You probably did not completely uninstall a very old version of Morroblivion-Fixes (which is no longer available for download)-- that older version of Fixes programmatically modified the new button to be visible when the script runs.  This was a work-around to prevent people from clicking "New Game" too fast and then wonder why the game started in Cyrodiil instead of Morrowind.  However, I suspected that some users might only remove the ESP instead of cleanly uninstalling the mod with a mod manager, so all recent versions of Morroblivion-Fixes no longer include the modified main_menu.xml.
