Install worked, but I can't play the game past character creation

So I installed Morroblivion, and installed everything manually (no Wrye Bash), I'm not sure how to change load order now that I've already installed it. Anyways, everything works fine until I reach character creation, where I am greeted with this http://i.imgur.com/QSHYhOi.jpg. When I finish my character and press OK, the game crashes after about half a second. Any help?

Which files did you install

Which files did you install and where did you place them?

1. The "Morroblivion_v64_Complete.7z" file is a BAIN install file -- it is not a normal mod file which can be installed by just extracting it into the Oblivion directory.  Check your "\Oblivion\Data" folder and make sure you have files like "Morrowind_ob.esp", "Morrowind_ob - Textures.bsa", "Morrowind_ob - Meshes.bsa", "Morrowind_ob -..." in that directory.  If you have the folders named "00 Core", "01 Better Map", "01 Chargen and Transport Mod", "01 ..." etc.  in the "Oblivion\Data" directory, then you did not install main Resource file correctly.

2. Did you install the latest Oblivion Script Extender and the appropriate loader?  http://obse.silverlock.org/

3. It looks like you also tried to install an ENB as well?  Which one?  Did you verify that it was working properly in the regular Oblivion game prior to installing Morroblivion?  If not, I recommend you try to uninstall this first.

4. As far as I know, Load Order can not be set manually.  You must have a Mod manager like Wrye Bash, Nexus Mod Manager, Oblivion Mod Manager, etc. in order to change the load order.  Are you using any of these programs?

5. What version of Oblivion are you running?  Did you get it from Steam?  Is it the Game of the Year edition?  If not from Steam, is it fully patched?

6. What other mods do you have installed?  Please give us a full list of all mods you have installed.

If you have the time, I recommend re-installing everything using the Wrye Bash instructions: https://tesrenewal.com/forums/oblivion/morroblivion-mod-releases/8114.  It may actually be faster than trying to get your current set up to work.   Installing manually makes things much harder to troubleshoot when things go wrong.  Good luck!

1. I did this part correctly

1. I did this part correctly

2. Yes

3. I used "A Tweaked ENB" and yes, I had no problems with it before

4. I have OBMM, but only for the high res textures and a journal mod

5. Mine is from Steam, GOTY, and fully up to date

6. Journal mod, character overhaul, Qarl's texture pack, A Tweaked ENB, Enhanced Water

How would I go about uninstalling it without messing with my previous mods and saves?

Thank you.

Uninstalling may or may not

Uninstalling may or may not screw up your saves -- it hopefully will not, as long as you re-install all the mods/plugins that you previously had installed.  Before you do that, try this:

I don't have much experience with OBMM but I think the left panel with the heading "ESP" is your load order list.

Step 1: make sure that the list is sorted by "Load Order" in the drop down at the bottom.

Step 2: select an "ESP" file from the list.

Step 3: use the "Move Up" and "Move Down" buttons at the bottom to change the load order.

The files at the top of the list will load first.  The ones at the bottom load last.  Make sure that all the Morroblivion ESPs are in the recommended load order (see installation instructions).  Let us know if you have any questions about what the load order should be.

Ok, that didn't work

Ok, that didn't work unfortunately. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Oblivion but it kept all my mods. How do I remove all the mods I have while keeping my saves?

The easiest way to completely
The easiest way to completely remove all mod-installed files is to select the "Oblivion" folder and then delete it manually (do this only after uninstalling Oblivion).  Sometimes you may get errors which prevent you from removing the Oblivion folder.  You'll have to deal with those problems on a case by case basis.  Once you are sure that the Oblivion folder is truly removed, then reboot your computer and re-install Oblivion.  Your Saved Games are stored in your "Documents\My Games\Oblivion" folder.  You can backup this folder to a safe place and copy it back if you need to.
