Werecrocodile

Hey just found wondering if anybody has thought of adding werecrocodiles in Skywind? This is probably kindof a strange idea to alot of people, but if you read the book On Lycanthropy found in Skyrim it mentions that werecrocodiles are known to exist in southern morrowind.

I just think it would be a really cool addition and be a nice alternative to werebears and werewolves already present, but I myself arn't really a modder so don't know how hard it would be to add such a feature into the game (I expect very). Basically yeah just wanted to bring this up as I would hate for the opportunity to be missed :)

i think this idea is

i think this idea is wonderful! i mean we don't get to see any other types of lycanthropy besides werewolf( and until recently we didn't see werebears as well) still the only thing needed is a good modeler, since the other functionalities are already built in the game, just need to alter some parameters

This sounds like something

This sounds like something that the community can make as a separate project rather than a built in feature for Skywind.

Perhaps base it of the

Perhaps base it of the deadroth in some way? Remodeling this model would be pretty good from how I imagine it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_SFNVrCMWw

Plus Skywind is effectively a massive community project is it not? Also since many probably don't even know it exists in lore I can't imagine a werecrocodile getting much attention after. Like I said would just hate to see this opportunity missed.

As great as it would be to

As great as it would be to have werecrocodiles (and werelions, weresharks etc) this simply isn't feasible for the Skywind team. The priority for modellers and texturers is updating every vanilla asset so Skywind is 100% modern and legal. There are still hundreds of assets yet to be replaced. As Twisted said, any modder with the skills, time and inclination can make this.

As nice as it would be as an add-on, werecrocodiles are beyond the scope of Skywind.

The idea itself is not bad

The idea itself is not bad but pretty lore breaking, thats a major issue since Skywind focuses on the origional Morrowind lore.

- Werealits, werecliffracers, werenixhounds... lol.

IMHO, were<creature>s is just too fairy tail to adding they in Skywind. Separate mod is better idea.

That's not strictly speaking true. There are a fair few things added to spice up the game from the lore that aren't actually present in the Morrowind game. Simplistic things, possibly, but nonetheless they are there. And while, yes, there are far more important things on the agenda at present, saying that something as fairly simple as this is "beyond the scope" of the team suggests to me that you hold remarkably little faith in them.

As it is, as someone said, the Daedroth is near bang on a croc and also rigged to the werewolf skeleton, I'm sure with a bit of wrangling and a texture change it'd do the job nicely. I would be surprised if there was absolutely no possibility of something like this being done eventually.

Well, Werecrocodiles are

Well, Werecrocodiles are present in the South of Morrowind, not in the South of Vvardenfell.  Weresharks, however, could be present in the seas surrounding Vvardenfell and Solstheim, according to "On Lycanthropy" :

The seventh lycanthrope, which I have never seen but my trusted peers have assured me exists, is a wereshark that roams the oceans around Tamriel.

Werecreatures exist within the lore, they are the "gift" of Hircine. However, they were only in the Bloodmoon expansion in Morrowind and should stay there as far as the main mod is concerned.
