Land Dreugh

Okay, I've had this model kicking around for awhile now and I'm trying to muster up the energy to finish it completely...So what better way to keep my mind focused than making a forum topic. 

(Current Highpoly)

Didn't have a ton of time to work on it but I did some detailing: 

The hope is that this can be used for skywind and skyblivion. So anyways suggestions are always welcome on my thread...But I'll probably not follow them or implement them unless they are deemed essential by the team

looks pretty good so far, only thing I'd say is kinda make the head resemble ravanna's dreugh, not a carbon copy as they are different creatures but they are related so something a little bit like it... sorry if i worded that badly :P

Looking really good! I do agree about the head though, Dreugh post-karvinasim would most likely keep the head shape intact.

Some lore info:

"Once during their lifetimes dreugh undergo a fascinating transformation known as karvinasim: For one year, dreugh are able to live on land. Once the term comes to completion they return to the water and meff, or consume the organs needed for terrestrial life. They vomit out this material in the form of little balls called grom. Sightings of Dreugh in inland water sources such as Koal cave and other grottoes are probably due to the creatures migrating there during their land dwelling state." Rig? Would be nice if it can run on all 6 limbs.

I hope you ll make it less humanoid. Chimera-like creatures are not the best.

Legs look like insect parts (have joints), but arms and torso looks like parts of ape.
I can recommend to make torso 2-2.5x narrower, with less segments and with more arthropoda "arms".
I think this is just start coloration. Red is too conspicuous for hunter.

It can be rigged to the Oblivion Land Dreugh skeleton (With some tweaks), I have the skeleton converted to Skyrim format already and some of the animations, I hope to get them all converted eventually and a custom behavior created.

Maybe you can change position of torso (less vertical) and make head more close to Rav's marine model.
