Try making the blades shorter

Try making the blades shorter and broader, like proper stone-age or Aztec knives ;)

How about making some fiercer

How about making some fiercer water creatures and even a underwater level. You could make water dragons that can also fly

Please continue. I would love to hear how these new creatures would "enhance" the lore and history of Morrowind.

= We have enougth fiercer water creatures. Underwater creatures should be more ambient/neutral.
= Water dragons? Maybe some tortoise analog will be better.

UPDT: Bit diff ones with ebony&stem of plant. Maybe i ll got better idea then leather strips.

How about expanding the land

How about expanding the land so that it can include underwater land and caves as well. It could be in relation to the argonians. I believe that it would be easy to take some of the dragon meshes and other creatures and make a few changes to adjust them> Of course turtles and sharks can be included. I just feel as an open world game, underwater and even some aerial environments would be awesome, epecially if the levitation spell and waterbreathing spell are stil prevalent

I am an avid gamer,

I am an avid gamer, especially for rpgs like most of the members to this site. I play skyrim ,oblivion and morrowind 20+hours a week when I am not working. I feel as though the creature spawns take too long in some places and there are not enough creature variants. There are a ton of weapons and armor, but it shouldnt be so easy to bowl through creatures. Some should have weaknesses to certain weapon types such as blunt sharp etc so that you must utilize all the weapon classes. Besides, what would be more fun than to be at a water's edge and get ambushed by a water dragon, or fall down into the bottom of a cave to be ambushed by cave sharks or somthing

= Ok. I hope they will be in power better with transparency.

> How about expanding the land
= It is only possible after completing main_Vvardefell.
> it can include underwater land and caves as well.
= We are working on it. Sponges, corals and so on.
> It could be in relation to the argonians. I believe that it would be easy to take some of the dragon meshes and other creatures and make a few changes to adjust them
= not_sure. Most races looks like curse on mers or mans (by lore).
> Of course turtles and sharks can be included.
= Too much and unproductive work if this would be just earthling creatures.
>I just feel as an open world game, underwater and even some aerial environments would be awesome, (especially) if the levitation spell and waterbreathing spell are (still) prevalent
= Of course. Alteration is a power to this.

If you have relevant

If you have relevant capabilities i think you can use ice_wrath as prototype for model of it.
But i think it shouldnt be a dragon-like creature, it can be more simple - like a seasnake with some original elements.
At first you need detailed and drawn concept of it.

Hattifnatty fungus (need some

Hattifnatty fungus (need some other name obviously)
Possible names: cheesetusk, bivanka, Martely's spiced fungi.

It should be analog of rare_ingredient, like Nirn_root, and will be reference/easter_egg to hatifnatty from tales of Tove Jansson.
Fungus is rare and grows only on floating wood in the sea. It's taste are awesome and this is why it's so expensive.
May be they should be working like electrical trap.

Fruits for some MW trees,

Fruits for some MW trees, should be placed on big branches.
It should be treated as food, but maybe some peel can be treated as ingredient and can be added in inventory every time when player eat this fruit.

All this fruits can be placed (as separate model, like bangler bane or other fungi) on stem of existing models of trees (specific fruit on specific model) as with cause of Earth plants with Cauliflory. Of course good place for such models is kitchens too. Fruits recomended for BC, AI, and region of Balmora-Caldera. Maybe team can even make fruit gardens in Ascadian Isles region.

Alysander, I love your latest

Alysander, I love your latest mushrooms, this creature looks good.but I think you lay it thick. The idea that "Morrowind should look absolutely different from real world" which harasses you should be more "lightly" expressed, look at Morrowind's original creatures, they do not loose a form of a creature and don't turn into "Adventure Time" cartoon absurd characters, they still look like bugs and arthropods...

I think you should work more on LumpStar, don't get it wrongly, don't go into extremes. ;)

New species started!

New species started!

NAME: Carrion beetle
FUNC: Main source of chitin, ambient creature.
BEHV: Non-agressive, but can have some defensive mechanism (burrowing, long jumps, acid spit).
DESC: It must have different coloration and size variations (3-4) for different Vvanderfell biomes (Ascadian, West Gash, Grazelands, mb Sheogorad). Inner regions of island shouldnt have it - there is Ash Shalks instead. Creature can provide 3-4 chitin, 1 bugbowl (must be made as item) and maybe some ingredient. Bugbowls could be resized to suit not-so-giant size of this beetles.

Lore friendly?

Lore friendly?

Not particularly, but it doesn't look too out of place with the overall aesthetic of Morrowind, and it IS a nice and effective way of making Vvardenfell's wilderness more varied and animated. I'd imagine it would be nice to see these guys skittering around once in a while:)

I'll admit I was initially pretty skeptical about this creature of his, but it just fits in too well with Morrowind's aesthetic to criticize. I like the head especially, it reminds me of the head of a nix hound or cliff racer. Good job man, this should definitely help bring more immersion and variety to the game.

I really like that. I have to admit that was very skeptical too. But it fits. You improved a lot in modeling, so I will glad to see more things with quality like that.

-------

About lore friendly I treat it as distant relative of cliffracer and I see it how it evolved from mutual ancestor (alysander is biologist). It would be cool to add it some unique behavior but it is good enough for me. Btw. we don't have any non-hostile creature in MW, so we have to find out new.
