Do you think you could post

Do you think you could post that siltstrider somewhere?  Then we could think about implementing it in the project.

looking great too bad

looking great :) too bad dragonborn already have a siltstrider, but look on the bright side, there is some other creatures we need to get modelled:

Kwama creatures, bonelord, clannfear, ogrim, daedroth, cliffracer

Hope you will unleash some of that awesome talent of yours on one of those? :)

hey guys

I'm thinking of making bonelord :)

If I do it will be done much faster then I took me for strider as strider wasn't meant for in-game at first place, so I had to do all kind of crazy things with topology.

So as there is no need for it, strider will remain on my hard drive as a personal celebration of Morrowinds 10 years.

But I really might do a full bonelord!

Cheers good people!

Cool

Just because dragon born has a silt strider model we are going to use it? I understand that it would feel odd having two different silt strider types, but then why not replace the one in dragon born with this model? Or it can be an optional replacer because I think Nandi's one looks pretty.

Also, do you think you could model creatures like the kagouti to more closely resemble those in ESO?

Actually using all the

Actually using all the available replacers over vanilla resources is a preferable way, makes it easier to convert assets in future and less questions about legality.

Silt striders in skywind can (even should) differ from dragonborn's ones, remember there is a 200 years span between them.

So I'm voting to use this strider. It is simply awesome!

I just wanted to share this posed render in Marmoset. These are all from maps I used in Skyrim, but here it looks a lot better.

Happy holidays everyone, sincere best wishes in 2013 for entire Skywind team.

Hope we all have a productive year.

I just wanna this is a good model. It might be safer to go with the Skyrim. However it's a tough call because the shell on yours makes more sense. ASh coming at the face of the Silt Strider wouldn't get in between it's shell with your version. However the Skyrim version is well done too. So its a close call. GReat job!

Just one thing is wrong: the back legs aren't in the right way, it should be rotated of 180°.  if you look at this one for example you might understand what I mean ^^

Just thought Id update

Just thought Id update everyone that I'm back (thx eloth) and started working under Ravanna`s guides and instructions to fix models messy UV map. Also Alexanderb has made working strider skeleton!
I will then add a tent at the back seat and do a dead shell version for the environment.
Cheers people

Fantastic work. I don't know

Fantastic work. I don't know if this has been brought up yet, but I think wild Silt Striders would be great. It makes no sense to just have the only silt striders in Morrowind be tamed. I know there are no attack animations, so maybe have them be invulnerable? Either way, nice job

I know we've all seen this

I know we've all seen this scene of imagined Silt Striders walking, but I'm obsessed with getting something similar going for Skywind.

Yeah!

Well i agree that it could use some additional lanterns, also all the other bla bla bla, you were talking about, Nandi :)

But this already looks super awesome - I'm glad we have another talented modeler here!

Strider is finished... I have

Strider is finished... I have to thank Ravanna for helping me with new UVs and new texture layers.

There will be variations of them, younger will be fleshier/lighter in texture, while older will have a more darker shell like this one. Now only that taxi tent remains. Cheers

It looks awesome man! 1 question though.. is it taller then the silt from Skyrim? the current silts in Skywind are a bit short compared to morrowind :p

other then that it looks awesome and I like what you did to the colors of the shell. cant w8 to hop on and ride 1 of em to balmora :p
