hmmm im thinking i should put nix hound on dog skeleton lol, so that its already in the new format with animations.
Well some creatures you may not have to convert due to the next dlc.
Can you send me that armor texture, and i`ll see what i can do with it?
hey eloth do u want to work on my textures after i finish all the armors? or as im working on them?
oh sure, lol u got a skype yet?, if not ill send it with media fire or something
no, dont have skype yet, just upload somewhere and i`ll take it from there, just upload everything that needs work.
alright, the textures were sent in a message to u
yeah, im checking them out now
tweaking the latest ENB, its getting better and better:
Thank you for continually blowing my mind Eloth. Those, sir, look freakin amazing.
What Clint said. Every time you post Eloth, it's amazing.
The screenshots look both like and unlike morrowind. It is the morrowind I remember, at a quality I don't. :D
I always love your screenshots. They are just amazing! I look forward to the day when I can play through Morrowind with that quality of visuals.
Heh, I should start taking some screen shots too. The overhaul really did a great job of making Skywind look 10 times better.
How does Solstheim look for everyone? I know it wasn't included in eloth's land textures but there isn't any snow on the ground, its just the same ground texture used over again and again.
Side question: I know we will be using a lot of things from the Dragonborn DLC, but I assume the actual Solstheim landmass and landscape hasn't changed much. Are we going to use a lot of the visuals or maybe even the entire continent for Skywind, or are we just going to continue to use what we have?
What I'm thinking is that we just save Solstheim for last (that is pretty much what would happen anyway), and then just work on it normally, except use a lot of the Dragonborn meshes, and maybe alter some things such as the mountains to make them appear more as they do in Dragonborn. It definitely still needs to be done though. So much happened in 200 years that I bet the place is hardly recognizable in the Skyrim timeline.
http://i.imgur.com/5wK1J.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/0A5Fp.jpgI finally found out what Thalmor Interior lights are and enabled it in the Morrowind world for fun. It looks umm odd... It's like I'm playing Deus Ex HR again.Since I'm not dealing with that god forsaken master file I finally get to enjoy the master file with the overhaul and heh, wow, damn our master file is really awesome! http://i.imgur.com/Mb11X.jpgThis is just plain creepy, I swear I didn't add any enemies with the console. Something like this happened when I was testing the Overhaul. I couldn't fast travel because of it.
love the gnarled trees.
i wonder how much more we can push this engine, enb does miracles, looks almost like a photo :P
WOW, that looks brilliant. What kind of performance hit are we talking about anyway? Because I might have to try enb again. Last time everything just ended up all black, but second times a charm right?
Also, any chance you could upload the fixes you made to get rid of those purple textures? :)
DANG that looks LEGIT Eloth!
Geesh Eloth, what kind of beast are you using for a computer!?
im using a computer with intel i7 2700k processor with an ati 6970 2gb graphics card with 6gb ram.
Not the newest high end but it works :) in that screen i get around 25fps, but im running in a 1900x1440 screen. Enb is highly optimized so only 15 fps drop when using it.
That's crazy, you're processor is only a little faster than mine (though I hear the i7 really helps), and the ram is actually less. I've never been good at understanding graphics cards, so I'm assuming that's a really good one?
Man, I think at the end of the day it sounds like those graphics are more man than machine. :D
Good work sir, I hope to envy your graphics for years to come. :D
thanks for the kind words :) the 6970 was one of the fastest from 2 years ago, now its 7970 thats one of the fastest cards now, and its yours for 280euro :)
Hey, does anyone know how to convert ground meshes for armors?? :))
Sheesh, I'm only running an i5 2400 @ 3.1 ghz, 4 gb of RAM, and a GTX 260 core 216 and I thought my rig was pretty powerful.....
I like playing at 45-60 fps, so maybe I shouldn't even attempt enb.
I play on a laptop and ENB doesn't drag me down much at all. If you want one search for one with low impact, I'm using Stakado Cinemascope ENB http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/15425 and it works great!
bitter coast now has misty swamps:
Are these textures and meshes completely original or modified bethesda ones? Just wondering, because maybe someday the OpenMW engine could support more advanced textures, but they'd have to be non-bethesda owned.
I'd say that about 90% of the textures are made from scratch, and the other 10% will be remade eventually. However, a lot of the meshes are still Bethesda originals, so most of those wouldn't do you any good. But if you guys ever want to use our textures for something just ask Eloth, and I bet he would give you permission.
Anyway, I can't wait for a playable version of OpenMW. Keep up the good work guys.
Oh yeah, I definitely can't wait until OpenMW is complete. With better texture capabilities with their engine, the Morrowind community is going to do some awesome stuff with that I'm sure.
I wish ENBs worked for me. These look amazing.
Neat little progress report. The bottles that have plagued us, lagged us, and done other nasty things to us are finally fixed.
The bottles are also transparent! OOoooooooooo~!
Why the people of Morrowind collect empty bottles is beyond me. I guess the people who live in Morrowind are just green, and like to recycle. =) Also interiors are quite a bit more stable now, but we're still hunting down those nasty little crashes. Also carpets are no longer lumpy!
Those look freakin dope Mehh! How'd you fix them?
I didn't, Eloth did.
:D Well, how did you fix them Eloth? :D
well, you know, cut & paste & trial n error in nifskope and some tweaking of the textures :)
Ah ok, so it wasn't a mesh problem? Maybe too many faces?
it was a collision issue, the collision mesh used was a duplicate of the bottle, so many polys in action causing the game to lag
So why the switch back to the old bottles anyway? I'm not complaining, I'm just curious.
Also, is that a real problem with other meshes too? Too many polys in the Collision? Maybe later down the road we should go on a campaign to reduce collision polygons.
Yeah, there are some more, off the top of my head I remember that the basket container(which was fixed already) and that bowl in Balmora had that issue too. Go to Balmora, and run over that bowl and watch what'll happen to your frames.
i can probably smoothen those old meshes a bit, they look somewhat blocky lol
can you post pictures of the Deadlands (Oblivion plane, and possibly inside the various towers and Sigil stone chambers) and of Shivering Isles?
I think oblivion realm screenies would have been the first ones put up but for this one fact. absolutly none of the oblivon interiors work. you can travel to them but the interior meshes don't show up in game, all you see is blackness.
As for the exterior oblivon meshes, they crash the game and are invisible. the oblivion planes as they are right now are bathed in bright daylight with only the oblivon ground textures to tell that you are in oblivon as the meshes there are invisible as well.
Most everything in SI works tho :D
oh I see. why is that?
Aside from some not being converted period, if you recall, oblivion realm walls, floors and objects had a certain wet "sheen" that covered them, this simple texture seems to throw the converter for a loop and causes most of the models to fail conversion as they stand now.
