Hey guys. I'm pretty much a brand new member here (literally registered five minutes ago). I've heard about MorrOblivion awhile back, but never installed it because I didn't have Morrowind and Skyrim was a week away at the time.
Glad to see you guys are doing it again for TES V. Looks like I finally have no excuse for not buying Morrowind anymore, even if I never actually play it. Can't wait to see the final build. Just a couple questions (sorry if the answers are elsewhere, I'm still getting my bearings for the site.
1. In the finished version, will we be able to travel from Skyrim to Morrowind on foot, or will it be via fast-travel/carriage only? (I'd understand area transitions such as entering dungeons/buildings/etc.)
2. Will the NPCs be voiced or text only? (I'd understand text only, as you're technically not allowed to transfer anything from the original game over).
3. Will you generate your own main quest, or will it essentially be the plot from the original Morrowind (which took place long before the events of TES V).
1. I'm not to sure on that one, because you know, the whole main land was never actually added to the Morrowind game. I think you'd have to swim there if we added it like that lols.2. text, but there is a project to get voiced dialog. http://morroblivion.com/forums/morroblivion/mods/1648 But I think it's kinda inactive atm.3. Basically a copy and paste of the old games' quest. But hey, who knows what the future can bring? =p If Skyrim can get a shit load of modders to add stuff, maybe Skywind can get the same support after it's finished. As for lore, let's just say the Dragon Born achieved CHIM and can travel to whatever time period he wants to.

Anyone else experience problems like this?
When I reload a plugin with edits in the world, all my previous edits disappear. Only vanilla Morrowind objects will be where I placed them (eg. the original statue of Malacath I replaced in the above picture was still hidden underground). If I check out the interior/exterior ingame the objects will be there, but if I save the plugin everything vanishes. Also sometimes the CK stops showing new edits in the preview window but ingame they will still appear.
Everything from lighting settings, water planes and statics are removed for some reason. Its like the game refuses to accept any more objects than vanilla Morrowind has.
Could this mean that Skywind esm is corrupted in some way? Can someone try editing Morrowind interiors by adding new objects and see if my problems can be reproduced? My own world building projects for regular Skyrim do work.
Hm, yeah, I just tried to add a bunch of lighting to some random slave cave, saved it, closed CK, reloaded CK with my new esp, and noticed all the lighting is gone. It has a star next to the cave meaning it knows I edited the cave.Check in-game, all my weirdo purple lighting I just added is there x.xOn an unrelated note, Dawnguard is like the plague, I added Dawnguard to my nonmodded Skyrim data folder, and my CK crashed when I tried any navmeshing all. I didn't even load Dawnguard, it just hated being in the same data folder as it. When I removed Dawnguard from the data folder, it stopped crashing.

third screenshot, I returned the original textures of the ship . Do not
you think that's what it looks better? Im about style, not quality.

I am glad Eloth is replacing those trees and textures, those were an eysore in the original game and have long been replaced, most people who play morrowind now a days use vurts trees (his work is simply astounding) and a combination of textures including connery work (why why did you leave us !!!)
anyways something I am noticing in skywind is a lack of proper shading, all textures look washed out, guess thats something to be worked on as well

I agree Iniquity, the second photo looks a little 'preasure washed' there's more grit in 1, and 3.

im experimenting with navmeshing, and have npc`s in balmora, but they just stand there looking stupid, even when i have given them wander packages :(

About those wander packages,have you set a radius on them in cell,or given the NPC a condition.?
i have been busy moving, and took some time getting internet access.
I fixed the problem i had, i used a testing wander package that obviously didnt work, now i used DefaultMasterPackageAllowWandering.
So now he`s walking around balmora, but with an extremely slow speed, i see he has the same stats as in morrowind, so i guess we have to increase speed on every npc

Yes, when we re-make npcs we were told to set the npc's speed to 100. Some of the npcs have speeds at like 75 and 50.Also speaking of npcs and navmesh, we should maybe read this, because it actually does affect us.http://morroblivion.com/too-high-first-step-of-stairways

K guys sorry i was gone for so long, but im coming back soon, and i will blow ur socks off with these new armors, im going to be making lots of imporvements to the current ones i have, and im going to try to make them all work in game, seperated n everything. Ill try also building this new skeleton, where the pants, pauldron and gloves are all seperated, after that i will make the skyrim armor seperated, it will cool:P Woot woot.
also in order for me to pull this off, i wil need a professional texture maker, i can convert it from jpeg to dds, but i need someone to make new textures fro all these armors

Also, I'm really looking forward to some screens Alexander! :) Though I'd keep the separation of Skyrim armors mod as a separate file if I were you. Changing the base game so radically like that is a little out of the scope of this project I think.
And Eloth, keep up the good work. I hope you haven't given up on fixing the textures though. I'm REALLY looking forward to playing Skywind without messed up textures. :)

also, how would this sound for like a additional mod, like after you stop red mountain from errupting, grass starts to grow on it along with trees, and it can actually snow there too :P, i think that would be cool, cause i was getting tired of looking at dirt, ash and everything like that
