This is where you can upload your Imperial voice auditions. Please keep this thread only for auditions - feedback and other comments relating to voice work can be posted in the hub thread.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Lucan_Ostorius Look, I've got a bunch of weapons I need to get to Yak gro-Skandar in Ald'ruhn. He's usually drinking himself under one of the tables at the Rat in the Pot. It'd be a big help to me if you could deliver them to him. Plus, I'd throw some coin your way...say, 100 septims? http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Craetia_Jullalian Has he given you any duties? He asked me to chain an army of dreugh to the Foreign Quarter Canton and have it towed to a more reasonable climate. Just between you and me, I don't think he's the best candidate for Arch-mage. I'd take that lizard Skink in Sadrith Mora over Trebonius any day. Voice description
For Imperials, there are two flavors, but the most important aspect is that they are very 'clear' and authoritative voices. They may be proper 'British' in emulation of the Aldmer upon which their culture is heavily based, or more 'American', but their voice holds authority. Like super-hero voice.
Here are the Imperials that I tried out. They were a lot of fun, actually. I'm aware that the audio isn't ideal on Apronia, but I can improve it.

Caius Cosades.
Zaf, You've only made few posts here, but you are already a voice acting god!
Were you the one that did Carnius Magius a while back? That one was great too imo.
Currently, the voice actor for Caius that I heard in the Quest Development video (that is outdated, I believe) I think sounded way too American. Like he was some sort of angry drill sergeant from GI Joe. I really like yours right now, and I definitely put in my vote for you. (If that's official, or matters from me at my status here right now)
I don't really know many of the voice actors on this so far, but I really think you'd be great in Skywind, especially for Imperials.
Also, can anyone please tell me how to put in quotes and clippings from the post that you are replying to?
@ A. Lee and zaf, those are fantastic!
First time really trying this. I'm honestly not applying for any particular character, as the excel sheet and I don't get along, so consider this applying for whatever you think I might fit. I just grabbed lines to read. (And I am reposting this for each race I'm applying for.)

This is a quick reading for the Imperial voice. It's a mix of guard/Sellus Gravius. Let me know what you think about the actual voice. This was done quite quickly, so I can definitely improve with more takes. It's closer to my "normal" voice.
Okay - I'll work on him. I should have something ready very soon.
I'm new to the site but not the project. I was hopping to try out for Tienius Delitian. Here is my soundcloud thingy:

Crude audio with almost no noise reduction. will have better equipment in the next few weeks.
Let me know what i could change to better suite an imperial!

Very nice! A relic from the Morroblivion sheet though, I hear. Never sounds right to hear an Imperial calling the player an 'Outlander'. These were originally %PCname, and would use the name of the PC. Whoever did the Morroblivion dialogue just replaced all instances with 'outlander', regardless of context. For Imperials, we will replace with 'citizen' if we don't cut the name entirely.
Here goes an Imperial male audition. Tried Albecius Collolius, as he was the first one to show up in the spreadsheet with multiple lines to try.
I did two minor characters. My mic isn't the greatest.
Another Imperial attempt as Cassius Olcinius. I could go more with my natural voice if this is a bit too... fervent and Bosmer-y. If one of these has potential, but isn't quite there, I'm open to suggestions.
Hey I recorded some lines for Saprius Entius, my mic isn't amazing but I tried. Some feedback would be nice :)

The voice is good, but there are some sound issues to deal with. Look at Langotriel's tutorials for help with noise reduction, or ask Lango himself if you're having particular difficulty with audio quality.
You should also work on the acting. Get in character! This is a teenager who was a smartass to a powerful wizard that turned him invisible to teach him a leason. Now you don't know what to do. You can't go back to the wizard, he might do something worse! You have a loving father, but you just know he's going to berate you and ground you and maybe beat you for all you know - no, you'll have to figure something out yourself. But then you see this well traveled adventurer and beg that they find a way to help you, because you're used to other people handling your problems and you'd rather coerce a total stranger with your invisible puppy dog eyes than fix it yourself.
You're overly dramatic and emotional, and you're feeling sorry for yourself.
I don't have a good young voice for this role like you do, but I recorded this a while back - read the lines with this cadence. http://m.soundcloud.com/smitehammer/sets/cassius-olcinius

The mic and sound quality are pretty bad, and you're reading the lines like someone would read a cereal box. These lines should sound natural, with appropriate emotion. They should not sound 'read'.
Yea that's kinda what I figured, I did them so kinda quickly so I could get an opinion on the mic quality. I'll see if I can get my hands on a better mic soon and if that's all right I'll try to do it with the proper emotion :)
Hm... is this closer? Probably a bit fast.
Hi
My take on the Ganciel Douar lines. I've gone for a bit of a rough soldier type on this one.

These are two versions of my Imperial Voices.
@CpTangerine
Ok.. Hear me out :P .. I love the voice, I love the quality and i love the accent. However... Although i understand you perfectly, i feel the accent might be a little thick for most people around the world to understand.. So my only suggestions for improvement is make it a little clearer and easier to understand OR (if you feel that would take too much away from the effect of the accent) choose a different way of speaking entirely. The tone of the voice was awesome so keep that whatever you do!
@EthanAhlin36
Right. I prefer the first one more (partly because it suits that particular character better and partly because it is clearer) So i will only address that clip now.
Let's go over the obvious points first. Sound quality is perfectly fine for an audition... But I like your voice and we will most definitely want to use you in this mod so, make sure your final recordings (and any further auditions) sound as good as possible.. free of noise and background sound.
As far as the voice goes, i like the tone and sound of it. I also like the accent :). I think we lose too much of your voice towards the end though... I know it is natural for it to drop off a little but your voice goes away too much at some points. For example Cyrodil.. the DIL part is pretty hard to pick up and although it is just a minor thing, if there is anything i want altered, it is that. If there is background music playing and ambient sounds, those parts will get drowned out .. so for the sake of the game, try to keep your voice audible throughout your speaking.
Thank you for your auditions gentleman and i look forward to hearing whatever improvements you have in store for us!
I would like to try and fill an Imperial role.
Here's what I got.

Hi there, attached are a couple of short lines from Somutis Vunnis, the Fort Moonmoth priest.
As it's an audition piece the quality will be a bit shaky, bit of background and echo noise, but I can re-record in a more insulated sound room on request if needed.
Here's my impression of Ganciele Douar
Hello
I have attempted to try two very different voices for Imperial, one lighter and one gruffer.
Lighter voice is from Caius Cosades: https://soundcloud.com/aurael-faeth/caius-cosades-03
Gruff voice is from Apelles Matius: https://soundcloud.com/aurael-faeth/apelles-matius-03
This is unedited and recorded on my desktop. Any final given parts would be recorded in a soundproof radio studio.
Rest of auditions are located here: https://soundcloud.com/aurael-faeth
Here is mine, just a script I found on an Elder Scrolls forum called, "The Stranger" No particular person in mind, just reading off. Hope you guys like it.
"When earth is sundered, and skies choked black,
And sleepers serve the seven curses,
To the hearth there comes a stranger,
Journeyed far 'neath moon and star.
Though stark-born to sire uncertain
His aspect marks his certain fate.
Wicked stalk him, righteous curse him.
Prophets speak, but all deny.
Many trials make manifest
The stranger's fate, the curses' bane.
Many touchstones try the stranger.
Many fall, but one remains."
@ fakebearamble (yeah i said it)
I don't think Imperial is your thing. I am inspired by your auditions and so can not think of how we can change the way your voice is to suit imperials.. There are other races where you fit better so stick with those.
@Varietis
You sound like you are trying really hard to sound like a man :P. It is a strange audition to judge.. It is hard for me to tell how deep you voice really is and since it is not really lines from a character, it is hard to judge your acting. Skype might be the way to go so find either Smitehammer or myself in the chat and we can sort it out.
Here is my audition, revised and edited, for the role of Murudius Flaeus. Hope you guys like it.
Possibly Imperial. I don't recall what they sound like.

(Hope you're happy, Lango)
Hello!
Before the overhaul I was assigned some Imperial and Nord female voices.
Imperial: Ladia Flarugrius, Viatrix Petilia and Marara
Nord: Eydris Fire-Eye, Imsin the Dreamer
I did read about some re-castings happening, so I don't know if you want to change the assignments.
I'm uploading some reels for reference.
My first attempt at the Imperial Thief Lucan Ostorius.

@Varietis
Catch you on skype
@ Jair-Uh-Mii
I am not feeling it. Imperials generally speak with authority. If you wish to try again, remember to keep that in mind. If you wish to have some lines to say for a specific character, catch me in chat at some point.
@Iselilja
Skype ;). De er bra.. Kanskje vi kan proove aa snakke om Skywind neste gang :P

Here's my female imperial audition. Not sure if i did the accent right
Imperials. One commoner, one noble. Lines of my own invention.
Hey everyone. I'd love to be a part of this project. It's inspiring to see such an active community working on bringing this to life.
I'm an on-air radio announcer and trained audio engineer in real life who has always wanted to branch into voice acting. I'm excited to potentially be a part of this.
Here is an audition using lines from the Imperial character "Crassius Curio." I have to say, this guy looks like he'd be a lot of fun to voice, just out of the sheer ridiculousness of some of his written dialouge alone.
Feedback is welcome :) Thank you all.
Hello!
I'd like to (finally) submit a few auditions, as I'm very excited about the project and would absolutely love to contribute. Below is a link to a reading for Tappius Esdrecus, a male Imperial discussing Caius Cosades.

Hello there!
I recorded some random Imperial lines that I would like to share with you. Please let me know what you think of them.
This is my first time trying to get into voice acting, although I have some experience in drama. It's kind of a first try. I could add some more emotion if desired.
The files can be found here (mp3):

Best regards
EDIT: Added a second take where I'm speaking a bit different and where the sound of my voice is a bit different, too:

Hello,
This is my attempt at Apronia Alfena - Imperial, Commoner
I am willing to re-do, improve, and do more voicework if needed.
I am interested in lead and/or significant Imperial roles such as Caius Cosades, Hasphat Antabolis, etc. but I'll be willing to do any voices that you require. The following are recordings that I did before the voice acting portion of Skywind was reorganized. The lines are from the introduction portion of the game. Hopefully these will serve as decent samples of my Imperial voice.
Where would I find some script examples for recording a role audition?
I used Apronia Alfena's lines for my Imperial voice audition, but I'm happy to try any role, really. This should give you a sense of the vocal quality I'd apply to a 'typical' Imperial character though.

So uh...my mic fried and I haven't been able to post in about four months. Are all the voice assignments in the Old Hub still taken?
Anyway, I got a new mic, the Blue Spark XLR mic. Here is my first test with it. https://soundcloud.com/stu-cook-1/furius-acilius
