Texture Glitches

I haven't seen other threads address this issueso i'll mention it here.

What are we gonna do about the purple ground textures. I believe it's caused by way to many different textures in one cell (oblivion can handle more ground textures in a single cell than skyrim I think). still it dosen't seem like we'll ever be able to fix it ( if you try re texturing it then then the ground will turn black (with way to many ground texture. Anyway this is why the texture glitches end so abruptly (Because the texture glitch borders a cell that has less textures in (I think) the seem like the main cause but for the most part the glitched texture should turn black(which they do in some places)

BTW, what with the lod, it has texture glitches too. For some reason I can't get oscape to work with a lod at all but it seems like a texture lod shouldn't be a problem. I never created a lod but From all the tutorial I've read it seem like a textured lod shouldn't be too hard to make.

Thanks! I cant believe I missed that. but how do you fix the lod. everytime I try to make a texture lod I get issues and it doesn't make any lod at (texured or not). skyBlivion would look so cool if it had a better lod.

There are still some glitch that ARE caused by to many texture in one cell but I think that might have been an issue with the convertor. Like in this one spot in the Colovian highland the texture changes depending on where you are.

The LOD I have no idea on. You can probably ask Shadow about that, he created the Skywind LOD if I recall.

Question, if you use the stripped down Skyrim.esm and try to edit with Skyrim and Skyblivion loaded, does the changes add and do the changes save and show after you close the CK and re-open it? I cannot test this because I deleted all my Oblivion files.

EDIT: Nevermind, I just tried it. If you remove wrld and cell from your skyrim.esm, you'll be able to load up without any array errors, and it loads WAY FASTER. It loaded up in like a minute for me with Skyrim and Oblivion checked. I haven't tried adding assets, because, well I don't have any meshes and cannot try in-game.

hmm I rarely open up both together because of the array error. but back when I did, it didn't  work but I've seen other mod do it so idk.

I slightly more dangerous is to make an esp ONLY dependent on skyrim and duplicate EVERYTHING(well not everything but things like static and tree. then make an esp dependent only on skyblivion (with no data in) then use tesvsnip to merge the skyrim data in to skyblivion( with luck your new esp wont have dependency on skyrim and most of the stuff you'll need is there. to make ncp I would make them just dependent on skyrim untill we can actually merge them( remember you can always add dependency but it's hard to take it away). I'm not sure it probably that only I can't edit the stuff because I have a weak computer right now (I'm getting a better one next year just in time for dragon born)

 

Edit: why are some of the textures so bright but texture packs are normal?
